I must be going nuts. I could've sworn there was a thread in here that mentioned we had signed Dumas, but I can't find it. Anyway, he's playing for us in PL this week.

Flannery and Morley back on deck
Tuesday, July 19, 2005

Queensland star Chris Flannery has been named in the centres for Sunday’s crunch match with Melbourne – in what will be the popular clubman’s 100th first grade game.

The 25-year-old was due to crack his ton against the Tigers a fortnight ago, but picked up a minor calf tear during State of Origin III.

“It’s a bit sore, but it’s coming along well,” Flannery said today.

“It’s a great honour to play 100 games for the Roosters – it’s a great club to be at.

“It’s been tough watching on the sidelines, so it will be good to get out there and help them.”

Powerhouse prop Adrian Morley will make his much anticipated return from a three-match suspension, but injured star Jason Cayless has been ruled out of the clash with ankle damage.

Youngster Sam Perrett is the only other player change - and will drop back down to Premier League.

Meanwhile, recent recruit Daniel Dumas - a former Cronulla player - will make his debut appearance for the club off the bench in Premier League.

nothing wrong with dumas, big strong lad. ask shane webcke what he's like in defence. great pick up in my opinion and the sharks managment made a mistake letting the young bloke go.

DUMAS is definately missed by the Jets where he has played most of this season. See he scored two trys for you guys in P/L, in your 28 to 18 victory over the Saints. The irony of this not being lost on me, as the win kept roosters in second place in the Prem/league ladder and Jets in third ( both on 30 points however you guys have a better for and against ).

Just hope he doesnt score the winning try in the semi's when and if we have to play you guys there. Or for the matter we still have to play you guys in a couple of weeks again. Couldnt stand it if he scored a few against us then also. Sharks are fricken crazy letting him go, and this will come back to bite them in the butt for sure. Good signing Roosters....

Dumas will captain France at the RLWC 2008.

With the French going fulltime he won't be a certainty to be a part of the squad let alone be chosen as the test captain! The next time he's on the field with the French he will probably be opposing them with either Sydney or an Koori rep team.

As a Newtown supporter I don't want to see him taking his frustrations out on us.

Ricky Stuart picked him up after we beat you guys at Henson and he smashed a couple of your blokes. In fact he got suspended for 3 weeks after that game.
