Darren Albert - staying at Saints?

Rumour I've picked up on elsewhere has it that DA now wants to stay at Saints following a reconciliation with his girlfriend (who happens to be Paul Wellens' sister).

Not sure how true or not this is, but as long as Cronulla don't come and try and get Peachey back I'm not that bothered

:D Yeah, Meli, what a good replacement

The facts are.

He'll likely rip super league up! his opposite opponents wont be able to handle him.

Having said that poor super league wingers make the NRL look good e.g. Colin Best!

Will be interesting to see how Albert performs for Cronulla back in Australia again. The Sharks team is hardly the quality of St Helens or Newcastle when he last played with them?

That's funny I saw Albert on Saturday at the Crounulla mall, unless he has an identical twin brother he certainly isn't playing for Saint Helens this year.

He'll probably struggle given the massive difference in quality in the NRL week to week over the piss weak ESL comp. Bartman as for Best going well last year at the Dragons, you could put you outside Gasnier and even you would look good!

What about Jason Smith? He looked average at Hull but he's close to Origin standard over there.

Jason Smith lol, yeah maybe about 10 years ago or maybe if every QLD born five eigth was injured at the time.

At Hull he had rubbish all around him, and they still went pretty well in 2004 his last season with them (again given their playing roster), I remember Best scoring heaps of tries outside a pretty ordinary looking three quarter line, so Smith couldn't have been that bad.

However seriously if you are comparing Smith with the likes of Lockyer and Prince then you're joking.

Look we have the weakest Aussie side in 25 years at present and you still couldn't beat us, the only thing that keeps the ESL even mildly decent standard are the Aussies and Kiwis who go there to collect their big payday.
