Google translation.

For a first game, the France U19 team did not really know where she was going to go and how she would be eaten!

The only certainty, since the arrival in New Zealand this group lives remarkably well enjoying in particular a welcome and a support of local very remarkable!

Conditions of accommodation very correct, excellent training conditions and, icing on the cake, a first game played in a beautiful stadium in the heart of an equally impressive complex.

For this first meeting on the green square young French have quickly discovered the values and virtues of rugby among Kiwis. Very dense players, rough at will and who have the particular peculiarity of always engaging thoroughly with each shot.

Faced with this reality the young French have certainly folded but never broken by showing solidarity at all times. To their enthusiasm they added a bit of daring and lucidity to get a win at nine small seconds of the end!

Picked cold after a loss of ball, the locals quickly took the command and it took a quarter of an hour to the blue to get into the game with a first achievement of Soler. The latter doubled the setting on his wing four minutes later to give the advantage to his team for the first time 10 to 6.

Both teams went for a shot by scoring in turn. The New Zealanders took orders 12 to 10, Khedimi answered, 16 to 12 but it was the selection of Canterbury who pulled the chestnuts from the heat before the break to keep a slim advantage 18 to 16. In the blow at the break, the blues could still have some regrets.

They had flanked by making guilty mistakes that the adversaries had exploited with authority. The second act started better for the blues that scorrated through Jobe. Stung, the locals counter a first time before giving themselves a greater advantage 28 to 20 to 20 minutes from the end. The Blues were in the hard but did not let go. Lacans gave hope by infiltrating flush to bring the mark to 28 to 26. The atmosphere became as heavy as tense despite the winter temperature.

The New Zealanders supported strong while the young French scraped in every corner to recover a last balloon. Fifty seconds from the end they reached it. Three held further, Zafra gushed in support before flying between the poles! France held its first victory. The campaign is launched and well launched and despite approximations always annoying, the France U19 team has been faithful to the values it wants to defend. She came to test herself, the first date is validated!

French Trials: Soler (16th 20th) Khedimi (31st) Jobe (44th) Lacans (67th) Zafra (79th)

Final Score: Canterbury Rugby League u20 (28 -32) France U19

Good to see the French winning their first game.To be honest I didn't know they had arrived in NZ no mention in news programmes or in the press. That's about the norm for League in this place.

One of the French players is still only 16 and he’s a quality youngster, Cesar Rougue.
I think he going on a training camp with Melbourne Storm in January
Is he a halfback?

Another highly rated player is halfback baptiste Fabre who is apparently on the Leeds rhinos radar.

Well done to the French team....they were absolute mud on the first half. Think they were 32-4 down, but fought back to win the second half.

Last game (4th in 9 days) agaisnt what I would suspect Will be a tough Auckland side.
