How does a state with so many clueless fans produce such a good football team? One of the great mysteries of existence I suppose.

That's the risk of talking big. You get people waiting for you to fail. He isn't a special talent. He isn't elite pace, he is no strong than other forwards. His "enforcer" status is what he was going for and he failed hard. Lost the credibility he earned in game 2.

Good player, he'll get bigger and better and if injuries are kind he could be one to watch for years.

Clueless......lol
Us Qlders weren't the ones having the big wankfest over David plodder .

Clueless would describe those Nsw fans who thought he was the messiah .

He's at a high in his career at the moment. The real test will be when he comes down. How he handles it and how much support he's given. If he's given the same amount of support that Tamou has been given, he'll be fine.

One of the worst origin games I have seen. Missed tackle after missed tackle, half of which he hardly placed a hand on the opponent because he was trying to hard to prove his tough merkin act. Dropped ball after drop ball. One line break which eventuated to nothing, so who gives a shit.

Please.

Klemmer was OK. Damage was done long before he came on.

Of course the media pissed in his pocket way over the top.

But to call him useless is geniused.

Two dropped balls, one second tackle off the kick off trying to make high risk offloads, with one leading to a try, he made 2 maybe 3 goodish run, tops, didn't even notice him in defense. End of the day though, the Blues pack was well beaten by the time he came on, but he didn't exactly do anything to try and turn that around.

NSW forward pack and their running metres
Woods 91
Tamou 40
Scott 23
Hoffman 7
Gallen 138
Merrin 19
Cordner 37
Klemmer 78
Jackson 8

He had the highest metres per run for them and made 22 tackles. Yes he made a couple of mistakes but so did everyone in the team. In a completely outplayed pack he was one of the best IMO always looking for more work.

Calling him a plodder just diminishes what was one of the best ever performances by a forward pack in Origin. Qld were way too good and the match was gone by the time he even got onto the field

He's a talented player, and one day might be one of the games elite front rowers, but there is no doubt that right now he's over-rated by the media and a lot of fans.

Now that's not his fault, he can't control expectations and the media/fans over hyping him, but he's just not really as good as people want/think him to be right now.
Which is also fine, he's only 21 or something. In 2 years time, there is a very good chance he's one of the best in the game.

He made a couple of big runs in garbage time (70mins onwards) but before hand really was over rawed, and made some poor errors in both attack and defence.

I see his future as more of a "workhorse" then some sort of dynamic "enforcer".

He was never going to live up to the Carl Webbing that the NSW press gave him, knocking people out at training, stands up the "bullies" of QLD etc.

Daley really let that get out of hand, he really needed to reign it in.

Don't get me wrong I think he may turn out to be a good un, but its all hype right now.
