Defence is a dirty word, neither of them can break the line and it don't help when Mr Big Bucks and a job on top doesn't call out to take the inside runner aka the El Masri try off Patten.

Merrit is not much better either. The forwards must shake their head after doing all that hard work, these nuffys bring it all undone. Somebody kill me now before this game gets worse than 24-12 at half time.

Poor defence in the three quarters has been a problem for too long now and needs to be remedied ASP.

We got caught out on the edges too many times. Has to be addressed. In the first half the Vagana/Rieck side got caught out and in the second half Tonga tore apart McGoldy. Simmons defence despite having improved has always been questionable.

Id be dirty if i was the forwards who had done such a good job.

Our goal line defence is useless too and has been for the whole year. Just look at today for example with Ryan's first try.

Next week the Dragons will dismantle what looks like an ordinary backline. If they think Peachey ain't worth re-signing, they can think again. I am supprised at how ineffective Vagana is as well.

I hope that Bailey re-thinks that hogging the ball was a good idea. A certain try at a crucial time would have made the outcome a toss of the coin.

I admit Simmo's defence is ordinary, but the only tackle I recall him missing today was when he slipped trying to tackle Tonga. Overall he was fairly solid and doesn't deserve this criticism.

Our defence was weak on the fringes. I'm more pissed off at Kent, McGoldy and Vagana, who normally except for McGoldy, defend well.

Where is Ryan McGoldricks name in all this. The kid didn't even attempt to tackle anyone on numerous occassions and simply flopped on top of the bulldogs player when someone else tackled them.

Maybe it was just the hair getting in his eyes in the windy conditions but dead set, Tonga would have slipped past him every time in touch footy.

In Reick's defence, our backline in general needs to take tackling practice. Peachey, who's ability to put his body on the line would never make the mistakes that I saw made yesterday. Simmons is a long term solution, but we need results now!
