greatest opening 15 minutes in a film since saving private ryan

a real fun movie with plenty of humour and action and great special effects

not for those who are seeking a solid plot line its just a roller coaster ride

I enjoyed it too. Was glad it wasn't turned into some crappy teen slasher flick like TCM.

One of the best movies I've seen all year. I can't wait to get my hands on the Director's Cut DVD.

I have the original and love it. The new one is damn good too, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Make sure you see Shaun of the Dead (great stuff). Apparently the people who made that are already looking at their next one which could be titled: Dave of the Triffids.

Just saw it last night and I have to agree with you 100%. I loved it, have never seen the original and it was easily one of the better horror flicks of the last few years. There have been some crappy ones but I really liked that one.

To those that have seen both which do you thikn is better, Original or new?

I had high hopes for the village, was very disappointed and picked this one up purely because I wanted a horror flick and it had a great cover (girld on the front looking very creepy!). Man was I impressed.

I've been a George A Romero fan for years. The original is still the best, it has a feel to it that the new one doesn't have, as good as it is.

There's a few cameos in the new one by people from the original.
