DCS on Steam. Does anyone here play it?

Does anyone here play DCS on Steam? If so, do you play it with a HOTAS system like Thrustmaster or the Saitek X52? Is there a way to map the HOTAS controls to the software automatically or do you have to do it manually for each button and each and every f*cking plane that you buy and download?

DCS Steam user here, but as of this afternoon I will be transferring my purchases over to the standalone beta. I only have the F/A-18c and the supercarrier.
