i finaly brought this cd mars volta make a freaken good cd here ive been after it for a while and got it its pretty heavy and i heard the story behind it is the story about there friend who killed himself and its like his journey.

hmmm...i always thought it was incoherent rubbish...but people tend to like it because it is the two big haired guys from one of the best indie bands of the 90's and early 00's. Seeing them live confirmed for me that it is rubbish.

I couldn't disagree more! I think TMV comes down to 'different strokes for different folks' but De-Loused is one of my favourite albums of all time. It's incredible, and live it was a jaw-dropping experience. I saw them at the Metro and after 1 hour they had only played 4 songs, there was so much improvisation going on. Pretty much everyone had a solo, and Cicatriz ESP went for over 30 minutes. Was un-freaking-believable. Call 'em wankery, but I love it!

I can't be arsed posting some links, but thew new album is dew early 2005, and Omar's solo album is already out. I'm keen to get it. Anyone heard it?
