Please stop inserting into every story about the knights the following bullsh*t:

"coach Brian Smith's controversial 2007 cleanout of several local juniors blunted the steel of Knights fans, in voice and number."

Its an urban myth. I am so tired of seeing it in every article. For the record, I am still yet to meet one knights supporter that didnt believe what took place was totally neccessary and for the greater benefit of the club.

Please stop using that incident as a reason for everything from crowd numbers to global warming.

Didn't hear it but can imagine he'd be a chronic backflipper. He looks like a greasy little worm too. He has one of those faces that go well punched.

It just occurred to me that at the time, the media saw some dissent in the works. Newton leaving, his old man stirring up trouble and decided the way things were going to be. They ignored the wooden spoon, and the general state the club had sunk to in player strength under Hagan. Now that things are turning around, they want to blame the supporters for targetting Smith, well go f**k yourself media, do not use us as your excuse about writing bad articles.

It will be interesting to see how many bandwagon hoppers are actually in Newy if Smithy gets his long overdue victory lap in october. I hope he tells every one of them to f### right off.
