Just 2 weeks ago I was asking the same question. If you have a good computer that can run the game well, it's definately worth getting the PC version. I picked the game up for $50 at KMart, but you might be able to shop around in Cash Converters or Trading Post or something and get it cheaper.

I saw it for $25 in cash converters. It is worth shopping around. Or you could buy one of those pirated copies from ebay mentioned in the other forum... :D

It's worth getting the PC version for both the patches and also it looks 20 times better on PC. Possibly 22 times better, I didn't actually measure it.

I think the game differs significantly on all three platforms. I would rate it PC then Xbox a very very close second and then PS2. Its definately worth getting the PC version if your computer can handle it as I think you will see a massive difference in both graphics and gameplay ( which is MUCH smoother and far more responsive ).

Well if you don't have a 9 button gamepad, it's probably frustrating because you need 9 buttons to play the game properly, whereas with a keyboard you have unlimited keys to choose from.

But it's perfectly playable on keyboard. Just a little more comfy if you have a gamepad because it feels more like your playing a ps2 game.

You can get a usb adapter on the net which lets you use a ps2 pad. I got one and it works great. Digital and Analogue work fine and it gives you the full 12 fire buttons. Windows xp detects it straight away without any need for drivers. In fact the only driver you need comes on a floppy disk which you need to get the vibration working. I havent bothered with that yet. PS1, Dual Shock and PS2 pads all work fine. Think it cost me in the region of £13 which is cheaper than the price of a really good pc joypad.
