Seeing as though this particular question would never see the light of day on the official Manly forum, we're fortunate to be able to discuss it here.
I'm in the Penn camp. They seem to be the only ones who have the club's best interests at heart.
It's as if the Delmeges sat down before the season and thought..."lets do everything we can to destablize the club"!
Along with the three cardboard cut-outs posing as directors (Bob Reilly, Phil Dean and Peter Bryant), the Delmeges have forced Grant Mayer, our best CEO since Ken Arthurson out of the club.
I'm not sure how these three came to be on the board, probably hand picked by Delmege. I just hope there is a way to get rid of them, so we can get some directors on there whose priority is to serve the Football club instead of merely being proxy votes for the Delmege's.
Is it any wonder, one of our most promising local juniors in Adam Cuthbertson, was so disillusioned he signed with the Sharks, of all clubs!
I have stated this in the past, but for the record.....
Max Delmege deserves thanks and praise for the considerable amount of money he has invested in the club. If he hadn't come along when he did, the club surely would have folded.
That's all in the past now. For the sake of the club and it's future, He and his son need to sell up and get out.
One more thing......I'll be buying a new football jumper very soon. I no longer want to wear any Manly clothing with his name on it.
