Denmark win €2000 grant

So, the Rugby League Planet Development fund, has voted to give their annual grant this year to Denmark.

Now I am a massive fan of this concept and I applaud everyone who is backing it. But I'm a bit confused as to how they chose Denmark. A strong case must have been put forward. They've done next to nothing over the last two years and have shown little sign of changing that. So what happened, do they have a plan? Did they put that forward to members or what?

I could name at least a dozen more deserving candidates. But, good luck to them, I hope they do indeed have a plan and that this money helps them get things back on track over there.

Yeah, last I heard Denmark has been reduced to just a bunch of expats playing as a Denmark XIII against other regional teams, strange choice.

That's another issue, 2 grand gets you nothing in Denmark these days. One of the most expensive countries in the world.

I actually wonder if they were the only nation to apply for the grant.
