Des Hasslers Dilema

Des Has a problem Manly are going very well and have found some fine new talent which are performing so well that makes life very hard for Desi. Why because Manly are soon to get some experienced players back. Lestrange, Brett stewert and Mattai. So what does des do with those new finds that have set the world on fire? Rose ,Farrah,Foran.??

Does des put lestrange in and remove one of the best form forwards George rose? or put another hooker in the pack? can we afford 2 hookers when we can strenghten our forward pack with Rose.

Another headache for des is what do do with Farrah who has been the find of the year. He reminds me of legend steve rogers a brilliant centre stable well balanced fast with excellent cover defence. Also hes a try scorer and backs up like the old menzies. Hes been a revelation so will mattai replace him?

Another headach for des is this young sensation Keiran Foran hes been brilliant can we have a 5/8 playing superb go back to toyata cup or will dez put the out of form bailey in 5/8 or will jamie lyons take that spot and keep Farrah in centre with no place for Foran?

Also when snake returns what happens to T REX? i dont think Manly can afford to have a giant dangerous winger like that out . I know he has his weekness but hes a try scorer and can turn a game on its head when he sparks.

Also what does Manly do with an experience tried and tested cutherbston? can he be chucked in toyata cup for good when he was a pivatol reason for manlys success last year, Hes simply too young too experienced too talented to not have running.

So whats the solution , Does dez introduce a rotation system to keep all players fresh and match hardened or sack some young sensations who have helped manly win 8 of their last ten games and one loss was during origin when half their team was out.

My solution is that Farrah Rose and Foran are playing too good and its risky to just go back to their early year side that was playing terrible.

One certain casulty will have to be Heath lestrange we cant afford 2 hookers in a side when so much talent is available. Rose cant be dropped hes become with watmough our best forward so who goes? Kyte? Kytes been sleepy and lazy all year.

Id hate to be Dez hazler hes got some tough decisions coming up sack form players or reinstate the well known ones whove played terrible early in the season.

whats the point with keeping Bailey hes a poor 5/8 and not the best second row he cant play any where else would you drop Farrah for this Bailey ?

Anyhow i think manly need to introduce a rotational system in case of injuries we will have battle hardened replacements. I think Hazler can rotate 3 players every game without having much effect on the result, as they are pretty much the same talent. Like the Aussie cricket team they used rotation pretty well.

will no doubt keep lyon at 6, farrar in centres and the back 3 as last year. Aso for the bench rosy has to be there.

Bailey will be a great lock, always threatens the line, has a great offload and can tackle.

Why not play Rodney at lock?

My fave player in the game and was devastated he left us. He has great tackling technique (well he did before the shoulder and neck ops) and will give his all.

He also runs great lines in attack.

Just coming back from injury and he has been giving us great impact off the bench. It a toss up really with Bailey. Both have a lot to offer though I suspect the coach will go with Bailey.
If we keep everyone fit we have at least 8 strong choices for our bench.Round 24 should see Stewart back.

Sucks balls that Farrar will unlikely get a run at full strength. He's been great!

- Lyon to move to 5/8 in attack, centres for defence like he did during the Knights.
- I can't give Matai a look in at the moment, mainly because how good Farrar has been going.

In my mind the safe option (hence what we will probably go for) will look something like this:

1. Stewart
2. Robbo
3. Matai
4. Farrar
5. Wolfie
6. Lyon
7. Ox
8. King
9. MB
10. Perry
11. Choc
12. Hall
13. Gifty

14. Le'Strange
15. Kite
16. Rose
17. Rodney

I wouldn't mind seing the following team get a run to see how it goes though:

Same Backs;

8. King
9. MB
10. Perry
11. Gifty
12. Bailey
13. Gifty

14. Rodney
15. Kite
16. Rose
17. Hall

Two locks on either side of the field in Gifty & Bailey with Choc given the freedom to run around the length of the line & generally mess the opposition up.

MB can play 80min easy as he has proved & as much as I love the Stranger, can't find a spot for him in that team. If anyone would get dropped from the above bench to make room for him it would be Kite, who has continued his poor performances despite the obvious warning from Des.

Rodney can come on into the 2nd row for Gifty or Bails to change things up a bit whilst Hall can come on into either the front or second row as needed to add some hitting power.

Would be interesting to see at the very least.

As a Manly fan, I feel you need some education on our players and coach

Hasler only has 1 S, not 2

Matai, only 1 T

Farrar, no H in sight

Lyon, Cliffy retired years ago

Watmough, Put the O in Mough

Anyway, onto the matter of the actual side, I would have no problem with Hall being dropped, form has been down for a long time, and he is leaving next season as well

no way, we need matai, farrar is a gun no doubt, but matai can fire us up and piss off other teams with his grubby work, plus he works very well with snake.. every team needs a grub, and he is ours... and i respect him for that ;-)

Agree Matai is a must hes too professional to leave out. So i think we have all agreed Matai Farrar centre combination is the go. It looks like ox and killer are the halves pick. I think we have sort have agreed stranger has got to go.

But i have a feeling Hasler wont change anything hes very loyal and stubborn, I think he will pick le strange straight away loool.

Matai is also very crucial for us coming out of trouble

He makes massive metres from dummy half, and also hits the ball up like a 2nd rower from that area as well
