In PL Wessel got absolutely smashed in one of the biggest hits i have ever seen. The guy just got nailed beyond belief and it was totally legal as well. He didnt move and had to go off in the medicab.

I thought it was a knee problem NCL
I couldnt see who it was & they didnt say.
he was upright when he exited though.
I did not see the hit as I was at the other end

I was down that end of the field. It was Wessel and he got hammered. I dont know if it was his knee that was the reason he went off but if it was me i would have gone off for other reasons like a sore head. I dont recall him sitting up as he went off though :?

I saw the play, didnt see the hit, but they called for the cab immediately. In like 5 seconds.
He wasnt sitting up on the way off, but rather moving around & lifting his head. I saw that on the big screen.

Oh ok then. Yeah they called for the cab straight away once they got out there. Any word on how serious his knee injury is then??

I'm not sure it is a knee. You maybe right.
A head injury ( I hate to say) might be better than a knee with our current problems for this weeks team.
wessels was probably the best forward in PL.

If we lose Lomu, would any of you seriosuly consider Wessells for firsts? For mine he is one our most damaging reserve graders week in week out. I'd much rather him than Reece Williams, to replace an attacking forward like Lomu.

He's damaging when running at a bunch of Reserve Graders, but when he was up against any type of quality he struggled.

Hasn't proven that he'd be able to handle it, but I'd be happy to see him have a shot if there was no better option.
