Its used to give Digicel Cup and Confederate players a chance to play Rep footy and probably audition themselves for the Hunters the following year.

These days the minimum for a Kumuls jersey is 2nd tier in Australia or England.
And English 3rd tier on the odd occasion.

I hope we see a few of the standouts from the digicel cup in this years clash.

-School boys (Aust vs PNG)
-School girls (Aust vs PNG)
- Defence Men (Aust vs PNG)
- Defence Women (Aust vs PNG)

While Sunday will be Men's & Women’s PMXIII double header.

Congratulations to the Goroka Lahanis who have advanced to the Grand Final next Sunday against Minor Premiers Enga Mioks.

The Lahanis kicked a field gold in the second period of extra time to defeat the Lae Tigers 19-18

So happy for Charlie Wabo.
He is probably the most successful player in the Digicel Cup to date winning 5 out of 8 Grand Finals that he played in. The last two of them in 2013 and 2014 were after returning from a 4 year stint in England with Hunslet.

And now as a coach this will be his second premiership if the Lahanis can pull off an upset win over the Enga Mioks.

The Enga Mioks deafeted the Goroka Lahanis 26-6

And for the first time in history they went through the season undefeated with all wins and only a draw during the season proper.

he genuinely doesn’t look taller than 5 foot which unfortunately could limit his professional progress in the game.

Not sure of his actual height.
But yeah he is quite diminutive and seems to be punching above his weight at the moment.
