Having just picked up a copy of Big League 2004 Preveiw I noticed in our gains section one D.Pelo but our 2004 player roster does not include him..what does this mean is he in or out of our team. The good news in this section of player roster was the inclusion of Jason Williams who I thought had been cut for fighting as discussed in an earlier thread.

How many players does it have in the squad? If it is 25, that would explain it as he isn't in the top25. I didn't think Williams was either though.

The Big League lists are out-dated.

Pelo didn't make the squad, but will be playing Premier League for us. We still don't know whether Williams will be in the team for this year or not.

Nothing yet. I'd suggest that if we don't see him playing Premier League a few weeks into the season, we won't see him play in the Sharks colours ever. I don't know what injury he picked up on the bus trip up to the CC, but I can't imagine it'd be so severe that he'd need much more than 6 weeks recovery.

I don't want to see Dimitri Pelo anywhere near first grade this year. He has great potential but is still very young and should have a full season of Premier League under his belt.

One of the biggest disappointments of 2003 was the disintergration of Nick Youngquest's confidence. The guy had so much to offer but I think bringing him into first grade too soon absolutely crushed his confidence. He never looked like he was ready for the toughness of first grade. The Dragons may yet see a great winger develop out of him. He certainly has the speed.

from what i saw of pielo at the sevens he looked way short of first grade.
agreed bring him along slowly.
playing younquest last year when he was no where near ready was a joke.
blind freddy could see that.

I agree he is a fair way off first grade. But in a few years he should go great for the club. Didn't he win man of the match vs the raiders a few weeks back?
