Dirty bird derby — worst result for the NRL?

All the other clubs should be on bended knee to us. If we hadn't told Rupert to f**k off we'd be playing sewer league now. Our two clubs saved rugby league and everybody should be eternally grateful so watch us battle it out for a premiership

Qft.

Anyone who isn't psyched for next Sunday is dead inside and not a Rugby League fan.

meh

no different from last year , or in fact most GF's I've been to at homebush

2012 Dogs V Storm Yuk:?
2011 Eagles V Warriors .... aussies supporting kiwis ... please
2010 Roosters V Dragons .... yuk

etc
etc

but every GF has been an enjoyable outing
its an event these days more so then just a game ... its a carnival

its great.
I'd love to see one with at least 1 team though .. that I'd really like to see win & that really hasn't happened since 2005 when I thought either side winning would be great.

I honestly don't know who to go for Roosters have been the best team all year and Manly have been the most consistent good footy team for the last 5 years, should be an absolute cracker of a game can't wait! Both teams definetley deserve to be there.

I do like the fact the last 4 teams were all ARL-aligned.

You have to say it is a just result.

The Grand Final Easts and Manly, and the public, have deserved since saving Rugby League 15 years ago.

How fitting in the first year of the ARLC, free of News scum.

Do not want SBW to hit and run with a premiership.

Go Manly. Bluey Evans for the Clive Churchill.

For the number crunchers at the NRL then Souths vs Brisbane/saints/eels/dogs would've been awesome. Since most of those were out the window sometime in may, I think we've probably got the best possible game between two intense and skilful teams. I think they might go mental, too. Nobody gets sent off in the GF and they cans serve their suspensions in the summer. Might go off the handle with so many lunatics out there.

As someone that follows the game before a jumper, I think it is a good match up.

If it means the crowd has a few more teeth, a few less mullets, and wine sales going through the roof, then so be it.

It's certainly the least interesting result that could have happened. They may play a great game but in the end, nobody will enjoy it except Rorters and Grubs.

This is what's wrong with the game. Just pick a side you hate the least, put some dollars on it if you have to, and enjoy the bloody football.

As others have said, the Roosters-Manly final game was easily the best game of the year, tough and as fast as hell, and with such a tight scoreline, it went all the way to the bloody final siren. How much better could it get?

Is the problem that you're all used to 38-32 style superleague-era touch football try-a-thons?

Do you support the game, or just express some hollow sort of Qlder patriotism?

I had to watch those bloody Manly-Melbourne finals, for god's sake. You can watch this one.

I'll be watching it, just like I've watched every grand final bar 2 over the last 30 years.

Refused to watch 1995 because I was sick of the super league shit.
Didn't watch 1996 because I was trying (successfully) to get my end in.

Both of those things aren't happening this year so bring it on.
