f**k a lot of you precious. Manly v Roosters looks to be a high quality game and a lot of you will be missing out. I despise Bunnies and Melbourne but if they faced off in the GF I would still watch it because I'm not a bitter merkin, I'm a fan of rugby league.

most of the people saying they wont watch will. they are on a rugby league forum ffs.

It has to be watched. It is the Rugby League Grand Final, the battle for the greatest prize in the game.

Admittedly, most neutral fans would prefer to see an outsider, unlikely or unfashionable mob make it so they could throw their emotional support behind them. However that didn't happen this year, so we'll just have to settle for the two most impressive teams in the final series. Shame, but that's life.

Dislike the chooks because of their absolutely useless, oxygen thief of a ''halfback,'' the worst NSW 7 in history. But losing 3 straight grand finals within a decade must bloody hurt like hell.

Think Manly will just scrape home though, far more class in the halves and will step it up another notch this week. This will be an absolutely cracking game though & a toss of the coin job. Could be a classic.

All the other clubs should be on bended knee to us. If we hadn't told Rupert to f**k off we'd be playing sewer league now. Our two clubs saved rugby league and everybody should be eternally grateful so watch us battle it out for a premiership

+100. Easts and Manly were the giants around Super League time.

I put up with a Donkeys v Storm and Dogs v Storm gf within 6 years, I watched them and I actually enjoyed them. If I can do that you merkins can watch and enjoy a Manly v Roosters GF. One team building a dynasty that rivals that of the Donkeys in the 90s or Parra/Dogs in the 80s vs a team that has risen from 13th last year to be easily the most consistent and dominant side this season. Will be a cracking game.

Amazing that so many here watch their teams go around all year, and then say they can't be arsed watching the GF. I don't particularly like either team, but should be a great game.

I'll just give CH9 a miss this week right up to kickoff and all will be good.

Should be a great game !
A team that has recruited well (strong in attack & defense) vs a tough battle hardened team (also strong in attack & defense).
What are people whinging about ?

I agree....the same as people say cheats never prosper...these two teams proves it does!!!!!!!!!

'Shapes to be the best Grand Final in years' is said every damn year.

For the first time in forever the Roosters are actually the lesser of two evils for me. And I'd for for anyone else to see SBW lose a GF, except for Manly. Why did it have to be Manly?

Three of the four games Easts v Manly played were more physical and far better matches than all three origin games

Where were all the thousands of empty seats? 81,000 people
Where were all you merkins that said you weren't going to watch? 3.9m peak in metro TV ratings
Where were all you merkins that say neither team has fans? Best atmosphere I've ever experienced at that morgue of a stadium.

This thread is the funniest thread to look back on out of all of the stupid Bulldog Force, DC Fan and Natheel threads because it highlights how stupid your average rugby league fan really is. Only a rugby league fan would be upset at seeing the number one ranked team in defence and attack take on the number two ranked team in defence and attack in the show piece game of the year a mere three weeks after playing the best game of rugby league for years. But no, you want to see teams like Newcastle (no disrespect) who finished 7th throughout the year with 12 wins and 11 losses in the grand final because you believe in fairytales

I have to say, the "EASTS" chant in the last half hour was immense. I was further towards the Roosters end and they were deafening at times. As were the other Manly fans at the other end. Great, great game. Very disappointing, for us, but it was a spectacle.

It really was a great atmosphere. Both sets of fans were very loud at times...obviously when in front.

The "clap clap clap....clap clap EASTS" chant has really taken off, and is excellent.
It was funny because around me Manly fans were looking at each other saying WTF is that?
They won't forget it. :D

Neutral friends of mine who watched on TV said the crowd was extremely loud.....and it was one of the great GFs.

Shame for those merkins on here that "went to the movies" instead :D:D
