Do any Balmain supporters remember...

It would of been about 1998 or 1999. At Leichart oval it was the most horrific injury I've ever seen. A Balmain player had is leg basically bent the wrong way. I remember seeing the replay and nearly throwing up. For the life of me I cant remember the players name? Does any remember... what happened to him? Did he ever play footy again?

Sounds to me like Jody Rudd and yeah that was shocking!

Yeah I reckon it was Jody Rudd too, but I would have said it was a bit earlier than 1998/9. I think he may have ended up in England some time later.

Yes it was Rudd, very sickening injury. He never played for Balmain again and don't think went to another NRL club. Wasnt he coaching a Ball or Matthews Balmain team?

Jody Rudd never did play again - he now coaches the wests tigers cubs squad.

Thanks for the replies. It was Jody Rudd who I was thinking of. Was hopeing that he might of recovered and was playing in England or something. Oh well at least he's still involved with the game.
