Do the Titans start Vince Young again this season?

With the Titans being undefeated so far, would the Titans replace Kerry Collins if they lose a couple of games?

"Collins replaced Young after he sprained his left knee in the Titans' opener. Fisher announced after the Titans' second win that Collins would remain their starter as long as they keep winning, and the 14-year veteran has responded by going 4-0 since taking over a team that now has the NFL's last undefeated record at 5-0"

Stick with Collins, you have too, but maybe give Young some snaps here and there to keep him on his feet.

If they want to win a Superbowl Vince shouldn't be seen again until next year. For all the good he did in 2006, he was TERRIBLE in 2007, started 2008 just as bad, and his confidence is so far down the sh*tter the team thought he might off himself.

Kerry Collins is far from ideal, but he's experienced enough to guide the offense along and provide some semblance of a passing game, under Vince the team has had to win in spite of their QB and you can't win a Superbowl doing that. Tennessee's rushing attack and defense can beat anyone, they just need a QB that won't F it up. (Though the pessimist/Sharks fan in me expects Collins to crumble sooner or later anyway, probably saving it for the playoffs)

Long term Vince having a year or more on the sidelines will probably be the best thing for him anyway, a quarterback starting so soon as a rookie fails far more often than it works, especially QB's as raw as Vince was. Better he watch and learn for a while than leaving him out there to completely self destruct.

I don't know about that, the Steelers did ok winning the Superbowl inspite of Big Ben as QB with a QB rating of 22.00 in the Superbowl, anything can happen.

Vince Young is overrated.

Winning OROY in 06 was moreso due to the poor rookie class than him playing amazingly.

His throwing mechanics are awkward, he has brain snaps and he does too much running sometimes. In saying that, he isn't helped by his front office that don't seem to want a franchise WR. Justin Gage for gods sake.

The Titans won't play Young again this year unless it it is necessary.

.

it's so ironic.

in 06 when the titans started the year with collins they were the worst team in the nfl. awful on both sides of the ball.

they threw young in out of necessity and it was like the team transformed in his first game. the offense did just enough and the defense suddenly were one of the best in the league. that's why young won roy, he was a difference maker.

now, it's the complete opposite. well, not really as the titans were still winning but they're much better off with collins now.

amazing.

I'm a fan of Vince Young. He's still relatively young and was basically thrown in at the deep end 2 years ago.
Really he's still learning but there must be some sort of problem apart from his injuries.(attitude maybe)
Wouldnt be surprised if the Titans ended up trading him and he was the guy I thought the Titans were looking to build the side around.
Having said that I still think he has the ability to do the job for the Titans. He's just got to rid himself of those stupid errors.
Will he start again this season?
I hope he does.(but I dont want the Titans to lose either).

Bring in Vince for tomorrow and then I dont care what they do. I am not confident at all against the titans for tomorrow. They have 2 down hill runners against us who let crap running teams run all over us. It could be a blood bath if Peyton and the Offence aren't onto it.

develop a sub package for him to play in. like the ravens used this past week with troy smith passing to flacco

well the Titans running game didnt do the damage they did inthe previous week. That being said Collins will well should remain starter for the rest of the season providing he remains healthy. the only negative i saw from him today that a lot of his passes were thrown at what seemed like the recievers leg/lower body, otherwise he managed the game fine which is pretty much all the Titans need their QB to do with that running attack and staunch defense
