I’m sure BA has learnt a fair bit along the way. A top 8 finish would leave many experts with egg on their face. If we jagged the next two he’s earned an extension imo.

Definitely. I really like the bloke and I think he's a genuinely good coach. With the right support staff in place, new board etc, I'm hoping he'll really be given an opportunity to run things for the next few years at least.

I find it hard to get a read on BA. He's had really mixed results.

2014: 10th. Missed out on the 8 on for and against. Needed to win at least one of our last two games against the Knights (finished 12th) and Raiders (finished 15th).

Halftime against Knights we lead 12-8 and lose 42-12.
We were never in the game against the Raiders in the final game.

2015: 12th. A pretty ordinary year. Although losing Hayne and having Norman and Sandow in the halves wasn't great either.

2016: 14th (but would've been 8th). Did well to keep things together. Would've been a really tough year for everyone in the club.

2017: 4th. A really solid season and a strong showing against Storm in week one of the finals. Blown off the park against the Cowboys.

2018: 16th. Ech.

2019: Showing signs of being another decent season and possibly a top 8 finish. Some great recruitment in Paulo, Lane, Fergo and Sivo and young talent coming through and developing well.

2018 was just baffling to me after finishing fourth. I just have a feeling he's the right coach moving forward and I hope we give him a contract.

I think 2016 is being under played here, before the cap scandal hit us I honestly believed we were a premiership threat, were we 6-3 after 9 rounds off memory? We were a seriously good football team and our entire squad was playing at the peak of there powers. I think people quickly forget that BA and us as fans were robbed that year, robbed of seeing where that team would have ended up. I know I am not the only one but we would've gone deep into September had the scandal not rocked us and I don't think BA gets enough credit for how good he had us playing and his recruitment was brilliant at the time.

I’ve seen enough, this effort tonight is enough to show me we will never ever get close to ring contenders with this bloke in charge.

Lovely bloke an Eels man to his bootlaces but not the man to lead up forward.

I think BA will do the same thing next week because it obviously wasn’t a monumental f**kup, we were just unlucky

They better not get to 60 or I’m never ever giving him another chance.
LOL why can you just put it down as a bad day at the office ? We have a win/loss of 5/4 after Round 9. That’s a far greater position than you predicted we’d be in.
