i will say one thing though - Moimoi on par with Willie?

Dogs of War ain't no myth if the players believe it. Anything that can get the players extra pumped, and give that little bit more belief is a great thing.

You only have to look at clubs like Cronulla, who don't have these beliefs, so there heads go down when something goes wrong, while teams like the Dogs look at the same situation and see what they can do about it.

Obviously it doesn't always work that way, and not all clubs have cool tags like "Dogs of War", just look at "Parramatta Power", it's an oxymoron, while "Parramatta doesn't matter" works well, but just doesn't have that same ring to it

And to say SBW "sh*ts all over" Hindmarsh is just ridiculous.

True - Hindy's game in recent years has been more about making tackles. But he has showb this year that he can make linebreaks with the best of them, bust tackles with the best of them and offload in freakish scenarios. Plus he's got a decent burst of speed and he can go for 80 minutes with ease.

If anything, splitting SBW and Hindmarsh is hard. But to say SBW "sh*ts all over" him is just massive bias.

BTW - Mason wins out against Moimoi in my eyes (and Fui is my favourite Eel) simply because he knows how to fire his team up and can play more minutes.

JTB is right, the "dogs of war" is a complete myth, as ive said in a number of other threads, theyve been shown up 3 times this year by the "worst defence in the comp" who are just filling gaps at the moment because of the injuries and suspensions we've had. The wooden spooners beat them twice very comfortably.

All you ever hear from them is how big and intimidating they are and how you need to try to contain SBW and Mason....pffffffft nobody fears them. SBW makes more offloads to opposition players or the ground than he does to his own team mates while the hardest thing to contain about Mason is his mouth.

As an opposition fan to both of these clubs id be a lot more worried about Foi Foi Moi Moi than anything the Bulldogs have shown over the last 2 games (and the rest of the season for that matter).

My biggest concern with Parramatta for a long time now has been that we only haveone Fui-like ball-runner. Our other forwards are competent enough, but they are not damaging like Fui. If we could have Paulo coming off the bench, we'd be sweet.

TBH The Dogs of War thing has rubbed off the last few years but the media love it because it gives them an angle to talk up games, Gus Gould is the number one culprit in dribbling this line at every opportunity
With the pack that the Dogs have we should dominate and intimidate teams a lot more often than we do and at times it seems more like they are going through the motions
BUT
In saying that with a pack of that quality its not a matter of if it'll ever come together but when..... and after 3 losses im hoping that its this Saturday night when they click.

Dogs are definetly the most over-rated team in the comp and has been since 04 even when they missed the 8 a few years back everyone was still jacking off about them. If you want proof they are the most over-rated team in the comp open you big league mag and have a look at the virtual table, which shows you what the table will look like if the favourites win all the time i believe the dogs are coming second.

And on the subject of over-rated, Hindmarsh would have to be the most over-rated player right next to Lyon and Sbw, i cant believe he still won awards after the pathetic year he has had this year.
