:D :D :D :D :D

I'm quite happy to learn (according to the NRL site anyway) that Canterbury's home semi will in fact be out of Telstra. 8) Go Dogs!

So it will be used for 3/4 weeks of the finals. Lets hope it can get 30,000 this weekend.

Yes i think the dogs could start pushing for 30,000 plus crowds all the time with a venue as good as telstra, there is no excuses for dogs fans as transport there is outstanding.

I wonder what would happen if the Bulldogs play the Tigers in the finals next year - Who's home game would it be if it was held at TS ??????

Thats a disadvantage AFL has.

My guess would be it would be a neutral venue...but Adv Dogs.

I don't care were any of the finals are played as long as the crowds are good, remeber last year when Canberra hosted Melbourne there was about 10,000 there.

The question is, can they draw a crowd against the Cowboy's?

They definitely could with the Tigers...

It's the Cowboys first semi-final game ever, of course they can draw a huge crowd

Oh and a big  to whoever said transport is excellent there.

1 - trains don't go direct Central > Strathfield > Olympic, you have to travel out to freaking Lidcombe;
and
2 - the pay stations in the parking lot only accept cash or credit, no EFTPOS!!

Pathetic transport if you ask me.

i go to Homebush for all of the Dogz home games & the transport has been fine all year apart from one game (against broncos when trains wont running) Lidcombe isnt that far, just go there or to strathfield and catch the express to olympic park- its easy

1 - it adds 30 mins to the journey there

2 - it adds about an hour to the journey home because all CC people generally miss their connecting train unless they leave at halftime. It's a disgrace.

Lidcombe is 5 minutes from Strathfield Station. Try travelling from Springwood to Olympic Park.

I dont think a lot of Cowboys fans wont be making a trip to telstra to watch their team play in their first ever finals game after what happened at the showground with the fans about a month ago!
