Man...I actually feel bad for Tomsula.

Their best D-Lineman retires close to the start of the season

Two of their best linebackers retire close tot he start of the season.

Their best Run Blocking tackle decides to take a year off football.

Just crazy set of circumstances when 4 of your best 15 players just decide they don't want to play any more and don't give you enough time to replace them.

On top of that you have Kaep with his massive regression....

I don't think he is a good coach...don't get me wrong...he looks like a guy who wears a tracksuit with a gold necklace reminiscing about the good old days in a mob movie. But I do feel sorry for him.

None of that can explain the oline that crumbles each and every play. Kap is always under ridiculous pressure, as are the RB's when they get the inevitable hospital hand-off behind the oline jokers.

At least the defence held the Packers to 17. Should've been 10 given that tough call that handed the first TD to the Packers.

Whilst I largely agree with what you say, do you think even though they replace Shady with DeMarco that perhaps Shady is a lot more suited to the team than DeMarco? DeMarco is a great north south runner and he had his way playing behind that Cowboys O Line I think inflated his stats abit, I mean Joseph Randle was averaging 6.7 yards a carry behind that line last season. Chip signs a guy who runs north south then gets rid of 2 starting interior lineman including an All-pro and has Murray running east west....

The only reason they are running e-w is because of the shoddy guard play. This offense is ultimately a zone blocking, one cut running game. Chip wants his guys getting north and south to keep the offense ahead of the chains
that's why McCoy was shipped, too much east to west and taking too many losses and putting us behind the sticks.

As said, the issue is the guards, not the RBs

i get it.

but when these plays lead to 3rd and very long, and the same shoddy guard play happens on 3rd down the issue is the qb.

Oh, he's definitely got his issues. Took him until after half time to find his groove again. Not having watched much STL was Bradford always like that? Because he was brilliant in College.

But that OL is a mess and with Peters down his blind spot was exposed big time. The positive is with a weak division if the offence can stop getting in its own way and help the defence from being gassed midway through the fourth quarter then they're a chance. Unfortunately, there isn't much evidence that will happen anytime soon.

No, but Iupati leaving and Kilgore being injured does a bit.
They've been replaced by absolute scrubs. Devey and Pears would be terrible backups, let alone starters.

What I'm wondering is why Bruce Miller isn't being used much. He's one of the best run blockers in the game and we seem to want to be a running team. Yet he's barely on the field.

I have no faith in the Niners' coaching staff. After just 4 games they have shown that they are out of their depth.

Firing Tomsula would do nothing, he's not the problem and there's a reason why no coach wanted to take the job.

I mean would you take a job somewhere where reaching 1 Superbowl and 3 NFC Title games in 4 years is enough to get you white-anted?

No one around the league has any respect for our front office and nor should they

You said it, mate.
They are an absolute joke.

Almost as bad as the Eels front office. :(

Well the losing of arguably the best RT in football to retirement and one of the top guards in the game to free agency kind of does explain the oline that crumbles each and every play....

Regardless of the reason - seems harsh for Kapernick to cop so much blame over the poor offence performance.

What strategy do you employ in the NFL if you have no right side o-line?

Definitely, but they are actually doing ok in pass pro. Not great but they are at least competent there. Bradford is not getting a lot of help from his Oline and his pass catchers are dropping plenty of ball but even taking that aside, he's missed some WIDE open throws. Like Agholar down inside the 10 against Dallas, worm burns it 5 yards in front of him, in the same game on the play he threw the INT in the red zone, he had Riley Cooper on an easy TD throw.. every game, its all a combination, he just isnt reading the field well at all. It's not ALL his fault, but between his poor play, the guards and very ill timed drops, the offense is in a mire. Its very troubling

He had the outstanding throw to Ertz for a TD in the first half, which was called back due to Agholor making a rookie mistake. That one was incredibly infuriating.

Yeah thats the annoying part, the throw to Ertz was money, the deep balls to Austin and Cooper were dropped in a bucket
He can sling it, no doubt... but he's just not doing so consistantly.
