from the telegraph:

Manly are believed to be considering releasing prop Ian Donnelly from his contract, which spans 2005 and 2006.

He will be free to negotiate with rival clubs although Melbourne have already shown considerable interest.

It is also understood the Storm are keen on signing Bulldogs back-rower Jamie Feeney.

What's the bet these pr*cks beat us to the punch on both of these guys.
I'd like to see a forward pack as follows next year:

harrison
laffranchi
galea
skandalis
farah
donnelly

payten
halatau
lima
feeney

Just wait. I have a feeling that there will be a number of forwards released around the end of the season. Remember last year. A lot happens from October - Febuary every year and I fail to see why we should get into a dutch auction over the rejects just simply to buy someone.

Wait till the right opportunity comes along and retain your best players

I believe Feeney has signed with Melbourne. Unconfirmed at this stage but from a good source.

We have Skando, Payten and Gibbs who can play Prop as can Laffranchi so i dont think we are lacking of good front rowers. The back-row is where we don't have a dominant player like Skandalis is in the Front Row. Feeney is not soft he would slot into our top 17 for sure.

IMHO Boof is better as a second rower. Having him at 12 with Galea at 11 is just awesome, add that with Heighno at 13 with Harrison Fulton and Halatau, I have Feeney nowhere near my 17.

ah well, its not up to me to determine who we sign up its up to the Tigers people. We've got plenty of up and coming backrowers but i guess Sheens is looking at a experienced first grader to help out these blokes.

a good front rower and a speed demon for the wing is what we need, feeney would just be adding to our back row stock.

Heighno and fulton have hardly set the world on fire.Yes they young and learning. But to say at the momment they keep feeney out of our top 17 is big call.

Feeney with all his first grade experince and just his overall game would be in our 13 next year.

I don't think he would be a walk up start, appears to me that coach Sheens wont play Bronson Harrison in the centres so I would expect him to be given a chance along with Heighnington and Laffranchi. Galea will not be in the backrow next year so no point listing him there, and of course Fulton will be lock.
