There is a big Masters comp - over 35 - they have a carnival every month. Full tackle for the younger guys and "hold" for the older guys. They wear different coloured shorts to inidicate what group they are in.

but.. in all seriousness, i'm in that limbo period myself.. on the wrong side of 30 to still play a decent grade of league, and on the wrong (younger) side of 35 to play masters... bah.
