Doomben 10000 - barrier draw
The barrier draw for the $650,000 G1Carlton Draught Doomben 10000 has been completed and has opened up the race with a number of the leading chances fairing badly.
Top weight and last year’s winner Red Oog has drawn awkwardly in barrier 13 as has last year’s Stradbroke winner St Basil in 14 along with the speed machine All Bar One who draw 16.
The runner-up in the BTC Cup, Daunting Lad is another that draw poorly and will start from the extreme outside barrier, 19 while Randwick trainer John O’Shea fared better than most with his two runners Cool Front and Imprisoned drawing 10 and 5 respectively.
There was also mixed results for the fillies and mares with Miss Potential drawing 4, Star Shiraz 8 but Shania Dane draw off the track in barrier 18 while Nevis draw 5.
Fashions Afield and Virage De Fortune fared the worst of the fillies drawing 11 and 12 respectively while La Montagna drew 9 and Street Smart 6.
