Dopey Daves act of putting a booze ban has now been been

exceeded by the act of dropping Ferguson and Dugan. Surely a hefty fine

would have been far more sensible . What he has done punishes

other players , the fans and even Dopey himself .

This is ultimate proof that he is really a very stupid man and

doesnt deserve his job .

And who could blame Dugan and Ferguson from being driven to drink by his coaching

and no escape because that fool Mc'Intire wont free them by sacking him

Its amazing they have lasted this long

And the non passing Thompson back at centre. My God

Ferguson showed up to training last Friday morning, allegedly still under the effect of alcohol. Dugan had been out drinking with him on Thursday night, despite having aggravated an abdominal strain that same morning.

Both were breaches of the Raiders' code of conduct which, for the record, had been implemented by the club's senior leadership group of players. Players had set this standard.

That alcohol ban was lifted after Canberra's last-round victory over the Parramatta Eels. Players were given three days off training to relax but, after just one training session back, Dugan and Ferguson infringed.

If Dugan has so many gripes with Furner and the club (as apparently reported, where there's smoke there's fire) why re-sign?

fair enough dropping them if they broke club rules. not drinking when you're injured is standard, as is not showing up to work hungover.

my only question was submitting the group to a 3 week alcohol ban

are they not adults? in a business context, it's micro management in the extreme.
