The Dragon Army Tour of Duty​

In Round 17, the mighty St George Illawarra Dragons travel to the nation’s capital to tackle the Canberra Raiders. Could this be the season we break the curse? I think we can, and the only place I want to be if we do is in Canberra stadium witnessing it.

We will be holding our annual Tour of Duty this season and Canberra is the destination. The details of the trip are as follows:
Departing Sydney
Date: 02/07/2012
Time: Between 1.30 -2.00pm
Location: St George Leagues Club, Princess Hwy, Kogarah
There will be a STRICT 30 minute stop off on the way to Canberra
Departing Canberra
Date: 02/07/2012
Time: Between 9.30 – 10pm
The return trip will also include a STRICT 30 minute stop off.
Upon request of the bus company and the association there will be a STRICT NO ALCOHOL policy for the trip. This is for insurance purposes and for the safety of other passengers. There will also be a marshal for each bus. This marshal will have a list of each passenger for that particular bus and will ensure the bus is kept clean and the NO ALCOHOL policy is followed.
As every year, we have obtained a special offer from the Canberra Raiders for tickets. We will be purchasing tickers from the Raiders direct. The total cost of the trip is $40.
This cost of $40 includes return bus fair and match ticket.

Below is a seating map. We will be seated in General Admin located in the Southern Bowl in Bays 77 and 78.

The Dragon Army sit behind the post at 90% of away games. Its no different to Canberra. There are many Dragons fans in the capital and the easiest way for all of us to sit togther is in GA.

I'll have to remember this when I get my tickets. I lost 3/4 of a can of beer last year when the Dragons threw away the game down here (fittingly, I threw the can away too in disgust. I expect a Saints win AND a free drink!

The countdown starts.. it has been bloody freezing down here lately (more so than usual) and next Monday will be no different!
