Dragons charge towards mediocrity...

Sick of it....
Ive resorted to talking through my pockets, but that display of mediocrity in the game tonight really gave me the willies. I wonder if some of the saints players have tackling practice. Some of the misses tonight were shocking, some of them were playing like misguided ducks. Bartrim must be the biggest 1/2arse of a player in the known world. Mary and Ainscough only look 1/2 interested and that Hornby needs a rocket up his arse all the way back to Hornsby.....
I got so ticked off watching them tonight that even Dr Dolittle got a run at half time. If everything doesn't go right for them, then they either give up or spit the dummy. I won't even venture into talking about some of the other players, although only Ward and Smith deserved raps...Riddell needs a set of funking blinkers so that he can run straight....
Another $20 down the plughole...i got $3.50 on them, but i knew that by the 20th minute i had about as much chance of winning as the poms winning the cricket
Anyways, enough of my ramblings....They looked good for 10 minutes tonight, someone forgot to tell them that rugby league is an 80 minute game....

Dont worry Rasputin, there is always another $20 just waiting to filter down through the plughole ;)
Dogs will have the enthusiasm to match the eels....it will be a close one, but we have braith....in braith we trust!

Thanks MFC:
"Ive resorted to talking through my pockets"
I've just seen my team go down to (probably) this years premiers and all you can think about is the hip pocket nerve.
Perhaps you're a little worried about C'bury facing the Eels next week...?

Parramatta are a hot team . I'm convinced of that now.
To be fair, Saints put it to them at times but were simply outclassed.
Honestly, with 20 minutes to go and after that Hindmarsh try I was concerned about something much worse than a premiership game loss.
Thankfully, there was no capitulation and the match remain evens for the final 20 minutes.
Well done Parramatta. I guess the river will keep for this season at least.

One more thing moffett, you have put up 2 Saints related topics today and haven't place them in the Dragons section.

I honestly don't think all is lost for Saints after last nights game. Most other sides have been belted by a lot more but the costly game will be the loss to the cowboys. Saints matched it with Canberra and Craig Smith and Trent Barrett both had great games on a losing side. The funny thing is you guys will be cheering on the broncos to knock off the roosters, a rare situation for Saints fans.

As for Parra, they are primed and can lift a gear when the going gets tough and have too many options. This is their year and they have been the best side all year.

That should of said Saints matched it with Parra, not Canberra. I was just reliving the glory days of the green machine. Seems like an eternity.lol

MFC......Back Parramatta at the even money line, you will win more than you lose throughout the year. You got a good $3.50 for them but as with betting, one must win and one must lose. I must say that next week will be Parramatta's last major test before the semis so hold off the even money betting on Parramatta next week.

Willow....I could be an SOB and give you shit but you are too nice a guy.

Bebeto: No, go for it mate.
What comes around will come around again. We might still meet again and in the semis...

I hate to say it but Parra were great to watch last night. The potential was there for the scoreline to blow out to anything.
On that form they deserve to take out the title this year.
I'm not dirty on our guys at all. Sure, they made errors but you didn't have to look far to see that the Parra defence was staring them in the face on each and every play. And when Saints were defending, they had to contend with the 2 dimensional locals booing at every opportunity.
Saints were just beaten by a better team.
Quite frankly, I can't wait for next week when we play the Broncos. Sometimes it's good to be handed a footballing lesson and if the Dragons were paying attention, they should be able to roll the Broncos.

BTW Bebeto, I didn't back Saints, but did put a few bucks on Nathan Blacklock being the first Dragons' try scorer...so I didn't have an entirely miserable night.

Sorry Willow, i wrote that post at about 11:30pm last night and was just a tad pissed off ;) I mean, you have some real good players and then you have some others who just don't put in at all. I think the defence was dismal at times last night, you have the attacking potential but you can't win a lot of games without defence....
I'll try putting it into the dragons section next time ;)...i just usually throw it in the nrl section out of habit
Im not overly concerned about next week. The dogs have a mental edge over the eels steming from that 98 s/f victory....we have pulled the carpet out from under their feet before and i think we still have a team capable of doing so. A great mix of youth and experience, i honestly think that the eels and dogs are the only teams this year who actually play as a team without relying on individuals...Lets look at it:
Roosters - Fittler
Brisbane - Lockyer
Newcastle - Johns
I can't think of any other genuine contenders, although if Cronulla make it you would still have to say without Peachey and Campbell they would struggle to put a point on.....
