Couldn't resist going into enemy territory after the Sharks debacle against the Bulldogs and, as I suspected, the Sharks faithful are in uncivil war over Dugan insisting on not playing on the wing and Xerri being shunted out there when he is the most promising centre in the game, the unerring Kyle Flanagan being dropped for the erring Shaun Johnston whose goal kicking bloopers cost them the game, Townsend being unable to play with Johnston as they are both dominant half backs, Matt Moylan being overrated --it was simply bliss- particularly Dugan blowing up. Makes our decision to get rid of him seem even better.

Good therapy when our all our talk if of a non performing team with a crap coach.
This could be in the “ positive only thread “

I'd say forget about Dugan. We have a few exciting players coming through in Saab, Pearson, Lomax and Ravalawa; the makings of a good, big, young, fast backline. All we need is a top grade fullback and the chance to field all of the above youngsters in first grade for the rest of 2019.

And as you rightly point out Possm, Xerri would like good in the Red V- Morris has got a tricky balancing act with his roster -everyone seems to want to play OR is playing better in a position other than where they're selected- if Xerri continues to be selected out of position, we might have a chance- assuming of course our dynamic director of recruitment and retention is awake.

I went to shark park today.
Eye opener. The crowd destroyed Moylan, SJ, Dugan.
Booed them off at fulltime.
Moylan and SJ both got hooked.
Players were chopping and changing positions willy nilly to accommodate those getting hooked, coach had a shocker IMO.
Shire folk not happy, I live among them, I very much enjoyed the day out.
Edit* Moylan not hooked but injured apparently.

Can someone tell me..well for the 2nd week in a row why Flanagan was not sent (not sin binned but marched for the remainder) off for a blatant knee to the head...and then Lodge sin binned for a blatant kick
The reluctance of the NRL to do anything about another media favourite is astonishing in up and coming Kyle Flanagan on field
TV ratings rules again..it is shocking and more of a blight on the game than the furore re concussions and brain injury and Tariq Sims debate
This put on report get of jail free card is a huge week kneed cop out for the NRL to be a pals with he powerbrokers..whoever they are
About concussions.....imagine if lodge was concussed..lucky....but we will let that slide on the day
what does that tell you about knee jerk over reactions to the flavour of the week as was Greens outburst..this week crickets.... in regards to what should of happened on field yet again.
And Mr Puppet Annesley will be the front man to say sorry we got that wrong..lets move on!
No wonder even a normally strong junior base in Group 6 and Group 7 are losing junior and senior players alarmingly.

Just watched the Sharks coach interview
God it was refreshing to see some honesty from the coach and speak about some real aspects of their game was poor etc..not quite singling out anyone...but
Journos...asking some real hard quesrtions about potential baffling decisons by the coach picking on players etc

Why are St George not thrown the same hard questions?

Yea, you really need to know what your getting before committing long term. For example, just imagine SGI if we would have signed Bennett for 5 years instead of 3 and keeping players like Boyd, Scott, Smith, Morris and Merrin. Maybe Bennett would have found good replacements for Gasnier, Cooper, Hornby and Young.

If we had signed Bennett for 5 years we wouldn't have fallen apart until midway through 2013 instead of 2011.

The freaky old egomaniac may have won us a premiership but when he left he took everything but the furniture and recommended a chinless no-hoper who I wouldn't trust with a magic sponge. I attribute all our current woes - paying overs for numpties and watching promising youngsters die on the vine - to the Bennett experiment.

Sorry but he hasn’t lost that thing where he looks like he’s been hit by a delivery van after every tackle that’s the most annoying thing next to women grunting while playing tennis
Gordon Tallis has said Dugan should retire as he almost always looks busted this year.
