I'm sure the dogs players who actually breached 'the bubble' are laughing as this eats up acreage on back pages.

I’m happy Vaughn was punted. But if the club is fair dinkum, then JDB should have been given the boot too. 2 massive indiscretions. Just as bad if not worse than Vaughn’s

How do you know they didn't want to ? May have to do with existing contract which no doubt would now be altered.

Some good points.

I think everyone was reluctant to dob in a mate, the players “code” put to the test.

But I agree Vaughny is being hung out to dry by the nrl. He should challenge it and argue parity.

They are all culpable.

They are not very experienced in miscreant behaviour. They should have parked well away, arrived quietly, blinds down, been quiet and all that and/or met up at a remote location etc.

Left phones at home, disabled gps, organised alibis, plausible denials or whatever.

The absence of these measures, suggests its really a case of ladism and juvenile delinquency as opposed to a massive conspiracy.

The club and fans had nil to do with it, so I don’t think you should suffer for the players naughty sojourn. I don’t see any value in suspensions when o think other measures may be more constructive and effective.
No you f**ken simpleton, they should have done as directed and as most of the country is doing currently.
These blokes aren’t “lads” they are man-child morons who don’t care about anyone bar themselves…including each other.
As much as it will hurt, I hope the Dragons cut most of them. Maybe then they’ll wake the f**k up.

Legally it would probably be harder to punt JDB as his previous "indiscretion" he was not convicted of in court. Hence you could not say he was on his second offence (even though his behaviour in this would be disappointing after your club stuck by him during his trials) unlike Vaughan who was on his second offence inside of 12 months for the exact same thing.

Doesnt need to be a criminal offence to bring the Club into disrepute, but I get your argument.

Are you serious? Every other player at the club, every official, anyone involved at the club were put in danger. And then everyone at every other club, and the entire comp. Or are you of the belief that there wasn't a single person outside the bubble at this party? If there was just 1, that's put everyone and everything at risk. It's why the Dogs players and Dugan had to self isolate for 14 days. It's why anybody who has been in the Wollongong area that may live outside the lockdown areas had to self isolate for 14 days.

Take off your red and white glasses and stop being naive. The Dragons risked the entire comp. It's lucky they have the bye this week otherwise I think other actions may have been taken.

Do you want to provide a link to the story of " outsiders at the party " news ( I haven't seen one ) otherwise keep your hysterics to yourself.

sure...only issue is that this time he is correct. Has been this way since Bennett left.

Right, so we've had a stinking culture since 2012, evidenced by all our " Out of control and arrogant stars " I suppose.
I'd just like to thank you and everyone else for your rational and thoughtful input. My apologies to Phil Rothfield, a real role model for all of us.

They did well given the circumstances and acted quickly.
Webb was honest and fronted the media when needed.
I agree Tru and well done on the Club. I would rather the club come last with integrity & some respect, than make the semi’s with a team of disrespectful, lying, self centred grubs that don’t accept rule or order.
I hope Hook and Webb can look forward to clearing the rest of the shit out and reconstruct a team we can be proud of once again.

Well said champ.
The place needed a reboot. Hope they stay strong and cop short term pain for the longer term gain. No-one is above the badge.

You can disagree if you wish....posters with good info have alluded to this....have been told stories especially from the last 5 years...believe what you want....

Here is something that will hopefully cheer us all up...

Red V Exclusive: Jarrod Saffy: “Wayne made us give up something for Lent and Michael Weyman came in with a packet of M and M’s”

In a Red V Exclusive interview we chat with Dragons 2010 Premiership winner Jarrod Saffy about his life in Rugby League.
Jarrod talk about growing up in South Africa, the difficult transition in moving to Australia, playing Rugby Union, NRL debut at Leichardt, what made Wayne Bennett so good, 2010 Premiership glory and a whole lot more. #redv
