Even if they could it has zero to do with the previous court case. Absolutely zero, emotion does not and cannot come into theses decisions.Maybe they can
The impossible dream-a club run by elected members for the multitude of fans- nicely expressed RobDorothy, good on you old mate. Like most of us here, we'll stick it out and ride on with you. But mate, my ass is getting sore riding this one out. I feel like I've been sitting on a fork since Bennett took off. When you look at the catastrophic decisions since 2008 it is bewildering that the same idiots (Doust, Young etc) are still employed:
i. Wayne Bennett wants a 5 year deal but Doust is only prepared to offer the 6 time premiership winning coach a 3 year deal. Great decision.
ii. The BOD appoints Steve Price as Bennett's successor (and extend his contract on Anzac Day no less). Great decision.
iii. The BOD having seen the error of their ways in appointing a rookie/novice coach in Steve Price; sack Price and appoint the vastly experienced, vastly credentialed Paul McGregor. AND/AND/AND they extend his contract not once...but wait for it twice, thereby making McGregor the longest standing coach in Dragons history. That means McGregor coaches for 7 years v Bennett coaching for 3 years. Now that makes for great reading. Great decision(s).
Riding this one out Dorothy means riding out the BOD who are responsible for the litany of appalling decisions that have diminished our Club to that of a laughing stock. And yet they remain ensconced on the BOD.
Here is the dilemma. The Club is private and therefore it is almost impossible to remove the idiots on the BOD; and yet they administer the Club on behalf of the supporters and yet we have no say in their appointment. That is like entering a boxing match with your hands tied behind your back? Not much chance of winning.
Until and unless Gordon, Doust, Young and others are removed and a new constitution and governance regime is implemented we the supporters are going to be sitting on forks for years and years to come.
Mate, I am not saying people shouldn't be pissed off with the current situation. I was more alluding to my stance on it. I have no allegiance to the BOD, no say in who is contracted to play, to coach....I just support my team. Regardless of who is in power, they will still have me as a proud red v fan. They could elect Chopper Read as CEO, and I won't stop being proud to be a red V fan.Dorothy, good on you old mate. Like most of us here, we'll stick it out and ride on with you. It’s not about emotion. It’s about f**king up. You think after the last f**k up, dragons management wouldn’t have pulled JDB aside and said “no more f**k ups ok?”…this is a pretty big f**k up if you ask me.Even if they could it has zero to do with the previous court case. Poor old Ryan looks so deflated.Anthony Griffin and Ryan Webb on Covid breaches
Dragons coach Anthony Griffin and CEO Ryan Webb field questions from the media regarding the 13 players who breached NRL biosecurity protocols and state government public health orders on Saturday night.www.dragons.com.au
He is not the only Dragons to player to break covid rules, lie or hide. You just don't like him. At this stage he's not getting sacked. Neither is Norman, neither is Alvaro or all the other players who tried to hide. That's it end of story mate, I wont be wasting my time debating this any further. It’s not about emotion. It’s not that I don’t like him, I don’t like any of them at the moment. He f**ked up twice already. He could’ve been sacked as well. He’s lucky that he didn’t. End of discussion. Mate your profile pic is of him hiding under a bed. He didn't stuff up twice, he was cleared. What people do in their personal lives is not our business. He is not the first player to be unfaithful, he nor the rest of the Dragons are probably not the first to sneak a few covid beers in together either just quietly. To be quite honest what they actually did was by covid standards not as bad as what Cleary did last year when the pandemic was rife. Nor the Dogs players who actually went out. The only thing that makes their situation so bad is that there were so many players from the one team all at one event. It’s not that I don’t like him, I don’t like any of them at the moment. so you’re defending what they did now hey?Mate your profile pic is of him hiding under a bed. He didn't stuff up twice, he was cleared. What people do in their personal lives is not our business. I was going to point out that Chopper Read has been dead for some time but on second thought, your point is still valid.Mate, I am not saying people shouldn't be pissed off with the current situation. Ok mate good on you.so you’re defending what they did now hey?
So after being told by hook not to get together and have a party, they all get together and have a party. When the cops come, they do the runner, hide under beds and in cupboards. Everyone is in lockdown and not allowed to visit anyone or have anyone in their homes. But these nufties don’t think those rules apply to them. Your mate JDB who was stood down for 2 years for putting the game in disrepute now puts the game in further disrepute. He’s lucky he’s still playing footy mate. For someone who doesn’t want to discuss this further, you’re not doing too good a job mate.
You too mate. Not having a go at you. We just have different opinions. Have a good night mate.Ok mate good on you.
Have a look around mate.You’re a fool.
The dragons best interests are served by taking a broad view of the events and not leaving themselves vulnerable to the market in so many positions.
You well know that we can afford to slash and burn almost all of our Tigers players without any bad consequences, but the dragons are in the f**king top 8 and they can’t be chucking that away to keep the likes of you and other self righteous ponces jizzing over your re-runs of Australia’s Most Wanted.
You should arrest yourself for prying and snitching Stryker puss.
I hope your not posting this crap on our home forum, the boys won’t stand for it. Lucky I am not a dog. God knows what our mods would do with you if they knew about this Bro.
