Check the Steakhouse in the casino complex, they should be showing the Manly vs North Qld final live, but no sound so you don't have to listen to Gould's dribble and Ikin's sh*t.

So the Manly / Cowboys game wont be beemed live into Melbourne?

If not what time will it be shown?

Depends on what you're after before the game. There's bars at the Docklands you can have a drink, you can go to the Casino which isn't too far away pretty easy to get to the ground from there or you can just go in Livewire which is in the Dome itself which is a pretty popular haunt for a drink before and after the game.

In typical Channel Nein fashion they will show it at midnight.

The Xchange Hotel on the corner of King and Little Collins Sts is alright.

Been to more bars than me in his brief visits ;-)

Brendo's been to more bars in Melbourne than me and I bloody live here.

Although I have only lived in Melbourne for just over 4 years, lived in Geelong before that.

Morning All,

Can someone confirm that the Manly/Nth Qld is being telecast live anywhere in Melb?

Cheers

Ch 9 are showing the movie The Family man 7.30pm-10pm on Saturday night
not a bad flick with Nick Cage, but jesus christ
its a 7 year old movie thats been repeated plenty

At 10pm there is the 20/20 WC final

A delayed telecast of the game at 12am

FMD, no wonder league is travelling at snails pace down there

Welcome to the world of a Storm/rugby league supporter in Melbourne. You blokes will only have to put up with it for one night, we've been putting up with it for 10 years. A 7 year old movie hey? Looks like we hit the jackpot this time, usually ones they air when the games on are over 10 years old at least. I shouldn't complain though, it also makes a nice change from the Gilmore Girls they sometimes show in place of the Sunday game :sarcasm:

Imparja is showing the game live so any pub that gets, and shows, that Imparja feed.

Pubs that I know of that historically have been prepared to show RL that have the Imparja feed are:

Station Hotel, Prahran
Rising Sun Hotel, Cnr Swan & Burnley Sts, Richmond
The Vaucluse, Swan St, Richmond

Plenty of good boozers to have an ale before the game. It's a bit of a squeeze and I wouldn't recommend it for any other reason other than just because you have to, but Young & Jackson across from Flinders St station is iconic and usually gets a good following of rugby league supporters pre-game.
Sunday night, I'd head to some of the little laneway bars near Spring St. Meyers Place has a couple, but ask around. Locals will fill you in.

Cheers, I will be staying in St Kilda, what would be the easiest pub to get to.

Station Hotel in Prahan (5 mins in a cab) is your best bet from StK.

However, you get absolute league crowd guarantee if you go to the Rising Sun Hotel in Richmond.
