... after an almost deafening silence over the past couple of months, Penrith have announced a new signing.

Pee Wee Moke from Cronulla.

Oct 06 - Twenty-two year old Cronulla centre Peewee Moke has agreed to terms with Panthers.

"He's agreed to two years with Penrith," Rugby League General Manager Michael Leary said today.

Peewee, who hails from Western Samoa, is a former Australian Schoolboys player and was a member of the Roosters 2004 premiership winning Jersey Flegg side.

He's 182cms tall and weighs 89kgs.

I've heard this guy been talked up by Roosters supporters (a couple of years ago, mind you).

It'll be interesting to see how he goes out at Penrith.

He was my one to watch for Cronulla in my season Preview this year.

I think he is an awesome talent and I for one am really pleased he will don our jersey next year.

Could be a bolter for First Grade.

Centre/Lock in Cronulla PL and JF

had an injury drama on his first season with Cronulla I think.

He is looking for a fresh start

if he is a centre/lock, you can bet your arse under the elliott regime he will be a lock, elliott is obsessed with turning backs into back rowers... its tragic...

Peewee Moke was an awesome talent a few years back. Really gone off the boil over the past 24 months... maybe a fresh start at the panthers can bring him back to life.

Jermaine Ale?

I've read in the NRL forum that he's playing in the local Newcastle comp next year.

Also from what I've read there, I can't see Elliott wanting him.

the bloke hits like a mack truck when he wants to...
from what i hear he has an attitude problem but if he knuckles down he'll be great for penrith, penrith need a couple more decent backs.

think he was refering to the fact both are awesome talents, that could easily be the next big thing, except both appear to have attitude problems

I heard he got the attitude shortly after he received his christian name. He was actually going to be called donk donk moke until the briss, and then his name was changed to pee wee. It's a popular misconception that he was named after a native bird, black and white in colour, but this is just a rumour and has never been corroborated.

That'd be awesome signings.

I was really impressed with Hlad with what I saw.

Also Caldwell...he is a deadset awesome player.

Ask any tigers supporter what they think of Caldwell, they'll spew he is leaving

Absolutely

Dean has some question marks currently (2 knee reconstructions in 2 years) but he's still very young and capable of bouncing back. injury problems aside he's got as much talent as any half in the lower grades and a better kicking game than most of them put together.

I wish he wasn't leaving but wish him all the best with the panthers.

in your opinion Brook...can Caldwell make it at the top level?

I believe he can, but I wouldn't mind your perception

If his body holds up I really don't doubt he'll make it. I am a bit concerned about his run with injuries, he hasn't really spent a great deal of time on the field in the last three years but the time he HAS spent he's shown he still has what it takes.

I don't doubt his talent or his attitude so it really is all going to rest on how he recovers from this latest knee injury but if he manages an injury-free season I think he'll really make us regret letting him go.
