Just announced on ABC radio.

Cannot believe it, not one of them deserves the jersey. LL and Thompson are flat out lucky to be in first grade.

Unbelievable! Dugan yes but the other two have been downright pathetic! Must have pictures of the selectors wives.

FMD!

Further news, Shillo is on the bench for the Roos.

Another player lucky to be in first grade getting a rep guernsey!

Shillo has been better than Thompson and Learoyd-Lahrs.

Harrison will probably be picked for NZ. He has been the worst of the lot and that's saying something.

Full country team:

2 - Michael Gordon
3 - Josh Morris
4 - Joel Thompson
5 - Akuila Uate
6 - Jamie Soward
7 - Jarrod Mullen
8 - Kade Snowden
9 - Michael Ennis
10 - Aiden Tolman
11 - Beau Scott
12 - Chris Houston
13 - Glenn Stewart

14 - Dean Young
15 - Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
16 - Trent Merrin
17 - Chris Heighington.

-------

How on earth did Joel Thompson get picked as a centre in a rep team?

I find it simply baffling that Thompson is in a rep team yet Fergo isn't.

If only they would be stopped playing for us next weekend because they are playing for in a rep team... If Harrison goes as well, with the exception of losing Dugan that could be a massive blessing for us...

Unfortunantly they will all just be backing up and more tired... So somehow, I'm sure they will find a way, to be even shitter than they have been (again except Dugan).

These are good players lacking a lot of motivation and belief in a raiders jersey. They'll probably all kill it in their rep games which points a big finger at furner.

Were the players genuinely pissed off with what happened to mona or something? They're not playing for there coach or club.

Elliott's looking for a job? lol

we could win 10 wooden spoons and i still wouldnt have Elliott

We have re-signed a few players , so Im not sure if players are unhappy with Furner.
But I think Furner is a problem , our game plans are plain and lack any imagination. Hit up for 5 then bomb.

think its quite clear what it means for us to get these players in a rep team. they are saying "these are quality players who play poor because of the team they are in" "they will play well when they have a different culture and play in a different team"... watch these games and you will see what these players are capable of.. all of them will fire i bet!!

pretty clear the problem is in the team and that when all these talented guys come together they are failing... who is the leader of that team?? why is it so confusing for anyone to see where the problem is???

for a team to play so often like jeckyll and hyde.. there must be problems!!! a team shuoldnt usually lose all their opening games and then win 9 straight like we did in 2010.. that just shows what lack of control furner has..the team finally won a game and changed itself.. and found motivation and started playing finally.. but what did furner have to do with thaT?? bennett, bellamy and any other great coaches control their teams..they know when they wil fire and they know how to make them fire... furner is a passenger and is just along for the ride.. he adds nothign to our team and nothing to any of these players improving day in and day out.. i look forward to a day when the name Furner is no longer associated with a leadership position in our club.. thank you for the service guys, please step down and end this pain.

Why doesn't TLL play like that for us ATM... He was 100% better than he has been for us all year... I also thought Thompson played defensivly very well, and OK in attack considering the lack of chances he got...

As for Harrison.... Thanks for giving Australia the ball to seal the match... He didn't cluster it defensivly this time but showed nothing of what a rep 2nd rower should...

Two totally different games of football.
c v country is more trial / exhibition style footy.

The test was a bore fest.
Aussies won the game with super fast line speed and slow play the ball.

As for harrison.
Last night both him and mannering covered nearly the whole field on defense.
Not just heaps of tackles but getting right across the other side of the field on attack.
Apart from the drop ball under pressure he was no worse than some of the other backrowers.

If he is to play 80 mins let him sit out on the flanks not get all over the field.
Other play him 60 mins.

Last two years he has been one of canberras best.
As have lars and shillington not sure what up this year.
