from real gm

"Minnesota Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey was fired Tuesday, according to a broadcast report.

ESPNEWS reported that Casey has been replaced by assistant Randy Wittman. His tenure with the team lasted less than 1 1/2 seasons"

finally hes gone about time some of hes choaching decisions were awful

this could also mean mchale wants too rebuild the team which i hope not cause t-wolves with out kg would be just weird

4 games in a row is hardly panic stations. as an article on espn said their standards are too high - this isn't 03-04 with KG as MVP and them challenging for the conference title. They should just concentrate on making the playoffs. I still think the T-Wolves should've tried hard for A.I..

Biiiiiiiiiig mistake by the Timberwolves. The board should all be fired for not even making an attempt to land Iverson even though KG openly expressed his desire to play with AI (and vice-versa). Kevin McHale is the man who needs to go, not Dwayne Casey...

The T-wolves had no-one to trade for AI besides Foye and draft picks. That is definately a managerial fault not the coachs.

Given how deep the upcoming draft is (by the way, Kevin Durrant will be a bigger superstar than Greg Oden, mark my words...) picks are almost as valuable as expiring contracts. And you're right, Minnesota didn't have much to offer in the first place and you can't blame Casey for that...
