was annoucned a couple of days ago..basically will mean the end of ESPN series..which is a shame as now ea have a monopoly on the whole football gamming world..

it stinks, madden was good until they decided to stop fixing there crap engine...espn for the past 2 seasons has been better football sim.

Have you played 2k5? It was not released in Oz unfortunately which was a bitch as I was really looking forward to it.

Madden needs competition and needs to be pushed. I play the NCAA 2005 series on moded PS2 and game wise it craps on Madden IMO. The feel of the game is more real, the crowd, the commentary...everything is just that much better.

Thank for the news, should make an interesting 2006 edition.

When I read about this a few days ago I thought it was a terrible decsion. My view hasn't changed. I wouldn't mind if the NFL granted EA exclusive access to certain video clips, but to basically give them the whole thing, effectively wiping out their competition is bad for everyone. The NFL should understand better than most organisations that their is nothing better than competition to bring the best out of someone.

Finally if EA decide to complety drop PC development, it is impossible for another company to fill in the breach - even if they wanted too.

All it means is other companys cant use the players/teams names & logos. Sure it's a bit annoying but it doesnt mean nobody else can try & make a better American Football game then EA.

yea but the nfl and the players association are with ea..so if sega try and make a football game teams will be like Chicago Hawks and etc...wont be the same.

its not like fifa and pes where there are teams with the liceneses and teams without..
