Fresh from making his Test debut on Sunday for Australia against New Zealand, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a watershed 2011, helping Manly win the NRL premiership and establishing himself as an important player in Des Hasler’s starting side.
“I’m really pleased to be re-signing with the Sea Eagles,” he said.
“The last few months have been the best of my career.
“A lot of that comes back to the work I have been putting in under the guidance of the coaching staff at Manly and the support of my teammates.
“It’s an exciting time in my career and I’m really looking forward to getting back amongst the boys as we try to win back-to-back NRL titles next season.”
Williams was also happy to sort out his contract before he departs for the United Kingdom ahead of the Four Nations campaign later this month.
“It has lifted a bit of weight off my shoulders,” he said.
“It’s a great feeling to be playing alongside players of this calibre, at this level.
“At 22, my best years are definitely still ahead of me.”
