I'm sure he will. At the end of the day a coach lives and dies by results so surely he is gonna pick the best side available to him. It may not agree with our selections but it is his head on the chocking block if we don't get the desired results.

Interesting viewing this afternoon watching us play Cowboys in Round 23 of season 2014 (Foxtel). Particularly interesting how few players remain with us from that particular season. Amazing turnaround in playing personnel. Our current roster is streets ahead of the 2014 side.

is viliame kikau training with the nrl squad? my prediction would be an nrl debut in 2017

Training well according to Gus Gould on twitter a couple of weeks back and it is highly likely he will debut a some stage in 2017. It's up to Viliame really. Has plenty of size, power, speed and mobility so has all the attributes to have a successful NRL career. If injury free in 2017 he could be a real powerhouse for us. He is in the NRL Squad which currently remains at 23 players of our main website so still a couple of spots to be confirmed.

Hope we come away from the pointless Nines competition with no injuries. Don't see any value in this competition at all.

While we have not yet named our squad a few of the other sides have. Robert Jennings & Brayden Burns will feature for the Bunnies, George Jennings for the Eels and interesting to note Brent Naden selected for the Raiders squad.

I enjoy the 9's its good fun but we are in a position now to win the comp so I hope we send hardly anyone.
One guy who I would like to see play is Edwards

I think Edwards, unless injured, will certainly be in the squad. I thought I read recently clubs have a contractual obligation to send a certain amount of there top squad and cannot simply send there Intrust Super Premiership sides.

The 11 players ruled out would be-

Moylan, Merrin, DWZ, TMM, Whare, Hiku, Wallace, Mansour, McKendry, JFH, and one other (Tim Browne?).

So you'd expect Cleary, Cartwright, Blake, Latu, Yeo, Edwards, Tamou, Rein, Leota, RCG (probably), Akouola, Peachey, Kikau, and a bunch of second tier players to make up the numbers. They'll only take the necessary number of topliners you'd think.

Players not going are: Moylan, DWZ, Martin, JFH. Merrin (4 nations) Latu, Cartwright, Peachey, RCG ( All stars) Whare, Hiku (injured) Ratu & Kikau lost their passport so likely are out. Injured and passport loss will get us key off so we can play others

Likely squad: Edwards, Blake, Browne. Wallace. Rein. Akouala. Leota. Oldfield. Satini. Katoa. MWZ. Crichton. J.Cartwright. May. Nicholls. Hawera-Narea. Yeo. Langi.

Not the worst team. We should beat the Dogs in the pool game atleast

I know but the thought of Rein playing hooker is terrifying
Disagree strongly. It's a comp that doesn't interest us and, although a slightly different game to the 13 man style, will give him game time playing under our structure and with our players. Much preferrable to having to blood him in the NRL proper.

What i meant by my post was Wallace getting hurt and missing the real football. Rein is an awful player
