We are a top four team on potential but there are still a few question marks imo such as:

Fitness? This is always one.

Can Moylan maintain or even improve his form from the back third of last season?

Same thing for guys like Cleary, Latu, Blake, DWZ, Yeo.

Can Carty, RCG, TMM and JFH find some consistency?

Can Tamou do a Merrin?

Can Sauce get back in time to make an impact?

If the answers to most of these is positive we will have a great year.

Spot on Roster is Top 4. I can't spot a weakness we have of course injuries will play their part

*obligatory "I'm glad to have joined this forum" comment*

If we can finish 6th(one win and a 100+ F/A out of the top four) in a year when we were chopping and changing players and their positions, anything less than a top four finish the following season with a better team depth, quality and experience-wise shouldn't even be comprehended.

Mansour's injury sucks but his touted early May return looks great considering the relatively mediocre draw we have till that point.

4th was the minimum but the okay-ish draw we've been handed should make us aim higher.Avoid injuries to our key players and we can do anything.

There is such a fine line between success and failure in the NRL and almost all 16 teams will go into 2017 optimistic they will improve on 2016. In the case of the premiers I guess they will be attempting to go back to back.

I thick we have untapped potential to improve considerably on our 2016 showing and hopefully be more consistent throughout the entire season. If we do that then we can be realistic chances of a top four finish.

As in any season injuries will be a critical factor.

The Bryce Cartwright saga has been an unwelcome distraction. Hopefully, it will not affect him long term and will largely be forgotten by the time the season proper commences. It is however, very embarrassing for him personally and for his family. Hopefully, he ( and others ) will learn from some valuable lessons from what has occurred.

Like don't be a cheating dickhead would be a good start.

I don't like what she did but he is also a moron.

Obviously it is unclear whether the 'other girl' involved has fallen pregnant and equally unclear whether Bryce may or not be the father but regardless in this day and age for anyone not to use the appropriate and readily available protection devices is just unforgivable and plain silly.

Better just being 'single' and playing the field so to speak.

Hopefully, hasn't been to much of an adverse distraction for Bryce as he was reported as being one of our standout performers in preseason training.

After the release of Chris Grevsmuhl we only have 23 players officially listed as part of our Tier 1 NRL squad.

Does anyone know whether there is a cut off on when a club must provide the NRL a full list of players who form part of top squad?

With two spots yet to be determined it will be interesting to see who get's upgraded to the senior squad.

Pretty important decision in the scheme of things given the fact with injuries, rep games, suspensions etc etc is is not uncommon to use more than 25 or more players in the top grade during any given season.

I suspect Dylan Edwards will fill one spot but the other is really up for grabs and there seems to be any number of possibilities.

1) No I wouldn't
2) Take responsibility for what you have done
3) I'd tell him don't be a moron and at the very least wear a f**king condom

But hey if you think what he did was fine...that reflects more on you than anything. Congrats!

I think where there is smoke there is fire so there probably is a young lady out there who may be expecting!!!!

In this day and age, it just shouldn't happen, unwanted pregnancies that is. Fault on both sides, both male and female.

Anyway probably need to put this discussion to 'bed'!!!!!

It will be interesting to see how Tyrone May goes in 2017.

Certainly offers great utility value given he can play fullback, halves and lock.

It's certainly going to be difficult for some of our young guns from the NYC given the depth we have across all positions.

I suspect we may have to incur a few unwanted injuries before the likes of May will be likely to debut in the NRL side.
