So what exactly is this PPV all about? Is it an ECW reunion event or something?

Apparantly the show was really fun and in a whole represented what ECW was about.

The results were...

Lance Storm > Jericho
Super Crazy > Tajiri and Lil Guido via pinfall on Tajiri
Mysterio > Psychosis
Sabu > Rhino
Chris Benoit > Eddie Guerrero
Dudley Boyz > Dreamer/Sandman via pinfall on Dreamer (don't know which Dudley made the pinfall)

The show featured a lot of shoot promos, especially on Edge, Bischoff, JBL, Vince McMahon and HHH.

Flaming tables!!!!! Bischoff getting assualted with a 3-d, diamond headbutt,619 and a stunner!!!

It was a great show, I hope the WWE don't try and tarnish this by making an ECW PPV an annual show.

Although I wouldn't mind them pushing some of the ECW talent.

Simply, this was the best PPV I've ever seen. f**k Wrestlemania, this was the sh*t. There matches were all classics, and you'd be shocked to know that Rey vs. Psychosis was probably the worst.

Lance Storm's retirement match was great. Really highlighted how underused Storm has been since joining WWE. The three way dance was a little messy, but Jesus, Super Crazy is... crazy. He was great, and I'm glad he picked up a win. The Mysterio vs. Psycosis match kinda sucked. It had some good spots, but you could tell Psycosis/Nicho was out of practice.

The Awesome vs. Tanaka match was one of the best matches I've ever seen. Not particulalry 'neat', but f**k, those guys took some bumps. I've got a new respect for Awesome having seen that match. Eddie vs. Benoit was a bit dull, but good nonetheless. That last tag match was great. Awesome to see Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney, Kid Kash, and the BWO all in the ring at once.

The last 'brawl' was a bit of a let down. I guess I was expecting to see more with regards to the rumoured ECW resurrection. God knows, their cult following has reached epic levels. Seriously, WWE could break into a third show and ECW would live again. Heyman's interview was awesome. RVD is a God on the mike, and vented some frustratation.

Overaly, I loved it. When the DVD hits the shelves, I'll buy the f**ker.

It was easily the PPV of the year. The thing I noticed is that most of the WWE's best performers are all ex ECW guys. The only two real exceptions being HBK and Angle - who would have been ex-ECW if not for an illconcieved 'crusifiction'

Seeing as how I DL'd this PPV I'll buy the DVD when available.

One thing they could do is convert Heat or Velocity to an ECW style show and use it as a feeder to Raw and SD. Train some up and coming wrestlers in the ECW style and let them do their thing.
One possible source of talent for this kind of thing might be CZW. I've never seen CZW but apperently it's even more extreme and violent than what ECW was.

Can anyone explain the Matt Hardy thing that was said to edge?

this is the first wrestling thing I have watched in the past year or so, so I got no idea what he is talking about
