* There are three major sporting programs on the radio each week day.
* 2 major Rugby league magazines each week + 1 minor monthly magazine
* 3 major rugby league radio programs + 1 community rugby league program on the weekend alone.
* 2 radio sporting programs on the weekend.
* several TV programs which are dedicated to sport/rugby league each week.

It might be an idea to put all eels related news or inteviews before or after on this thread!!...

for eg: heard a John Morris interview on 2SM yesterday and he believes the eels are on the verge of hitting their straps.

If the moderators agree to this can we make it a "sticky" thread?

Booooooo. No way :?

How are we going to keep track of the different media topics if it is all mashed into one thread ?
And half will be the drivel from what Raaaaaay said and bore the crap out of us anyway

Will be no continuity on the thread as the posts wil bounce from topic.
Too confusing.

Makes for a large thread. Do we need to put all articles in one thread or talk about them in individual threads as they come up? I'm not fussed. If the general consensus is "all in one" I'll sort it however some articles rarely raise comment whereas some go on for days......

ok!!

for a start lets keep it simple stupid

KISS 8)

1]If you find that Smithy or any of the boys are being inteviewed try to let us know before hand or briefly tells us the crux of the inteview.

2] if there is an article on any of the players and club in the paper or magazines just say for eg: Hindy story page 58 rugby league week.

3] TV type storys like the very accurate Tony Peters at 5:40pm channel 10 reports that eels will resign Smith for the next 55 years!!

they don't have to be long winded!!. leave that for the other threads just short and sweet...like me ;-)

thanks Colonel!!

Hey Godfather!! thats my point. Raaaaayy Hardley is not the be all and end all of rugby league media. Quite simply put if he gives you the schitz don't listen to him, there are many alternatives out there.

Wittyz chick: Big sports breakfast 5:30 am to 9am week days 2KY

RLW has two good articles on Parramatta players - Nathan Hindmarsh on his selection and his pledge to bury the Origin demons. The other one is about Luke O'Dwyer and gives a good insight in to what makes the kid tick......

the SMH confirmed that "Odi" has a leg injury of an "undertermined nature" sounds bloody scary!!

They suspect Widdo will replace him.

smh:

PARRAMATTA

Test second-rower Nathan Hindmarsh is the only forward in the NRL to have played the full 80 minutes in all seven premiership rounds so far this season. In fact, last Saturday night's golden point loss to Cronulla means Hindmarsh has played even longer than that.

Parramatta prop Michael Vella is confident of making his return from a knee injury against North Queensland tomorrow night. North Queensland will decide this morning whether winger Matt Sing (calf/knee) travels to Parramatta Stadium.

Adam Peek was interviewed on talkinsport today and basically declared Paul Rauhihi the dangerman for tomorrow night, he also said that he would like to play beyond this year and is aiming to score a new contract.

Parramatta v North Queensland at Parramatta Stadium, tonight 7.35

Kangaroos winger Matt Sing (calf/knee) is out of tonight's game but Cowboys coach Graham Murray still hasn't decided on a replacement. "We are taking Rod Jensen and Neil Sweeney," said Murray. "One of them will be the replacement, the other one will be 18th man." Parramatta interchange forward Michael Vella (knee) has been given until this morning to prove his fitness but regardless of whether Vella plays, England under-21 star Cliff Thorman will be making his NRL debut off the bench.

PS: Anyone know who this Cliff Thorman dude is and is he better then his bro Chris???

PARRAMATTA

Skipper Nathan Cayless pleaded guilty last night to striking and high tackle charges that carried a total of eight weeks in suspensions. It was confirmed Cayless broke his arm in Saturday night's loss to North Queensland but he won't know for two weeks how long he'll be out. "If he's on the sidelines anyway, it doesn't matter how long the suspension is," the victim of the high tackle, Josh Hannay, said yesterday

Nathan Cayless may have been lucky to escape with an eight-match suspension on separate high tackle and striking charges arising from last weekend's loss to North Queensland, according to the NRL's summary of incidents reviewed by Greg McCallum. Cayless, who will be sidelined for three months with a broken arm, received three mentions in the report - the latter being for comments to rookie referee Jason Robinson. "May be interpreted as intimidation towards match officials," McCallum wrote.
