How good were Hindmarsh and Cayless. If they dont play in the Anzac test it will be a dead set joke.

Hindmarsh and Gower have really done their best this weekend. It is now up to the selectors to develop some common sence.

How bad was Shane Hayne.

He had a shocker.

Why do we have touchies, they dont watch the game.

now for the eagles who sounded red hot in the 2nd half verse the dogs

if we r to win we have to score as many points in the 1st half as posible cause the eagles seem to pile on the points in the 2nd half.

Shane Haynes was making mistakes left right and center. I seriously think he should be watched in the next few games he Refs because the job he did was appaulling.

The boys made us ALL proud today. They did an excellent job and proved everyone wrong when they said the rabbits will beat the Eels.

Ahhh Moggy, really is a scary thought Hayne makes Moggy look good

Great that the game didn't come down to his decisions.

Oh well good result that moves us up to the likes of the Cafe Lattes etc, without the benefit of the week off

Our best performance yet. Defensively, we only let in 20 points - but Souths are no mugs in attack. Great to see the defensive line back after 2 years of absence (why Smithy why...?). Keep it up and we will climb the cred ladder quickly.

Gotta give a wrap to the big names, esp. Cayless and Hindy. Micky V had a stormer as well (against a smaller pack, though), and Wags even passed the ball! (He must have heard all the boos when he dummied to Vaealiki in the first half). Speaking of Vaealiki, he was strong as well.

O'Dwyers try is a great reward for a month of trying your guts out. A lot have suggested he spend time in the reggies - I don't see a lock avalable that can do better than him ATM, although Widders decent game time was about 2 years coming!

And wasn't it great to see the club show some common sense and play in blue jumpers. Hell, they even LOOKED like Parramatta today!

Great effort Souths - many more wins will come their way - Minichello is a very good yound backrower, isn't he!

You are the only moaning bitch here, Carlotta. Or is that just a novel way of opening a twist top?

BTW, did you get a pelvic floor when they did the ol' snip snip?

Vella: fantastic. Agressive, tough, no nonsense. He turned up with ajob to do and played with purpose.

Hindmarsh: Back to his best. I must admit i have been an advocate for giving hi some time on the bench, to improve his impact offensively. but he showed today he doesnt need that. 10/10 for Hindy.

Cayless: Love that man. Heart on sleeve effort again. Even at full time as he left the ground he had that steely look in his eye, like to say to the crowd in the Western Stand, "We have only just begun"

Morris: As reliable as always. never has a bad game and yesterday was on eof those days where he lifts it an extra notch.

Vaealiki: Gutsy. he was badly hurt i the sernum and ribs a couple of times, but did not shurk at having to take the ball up again. Typically tough performance from him.

Dykes: His enthusiasm if nothing else is rubbing off on the team. Always first back to half way to kick off, always talking and always thinking.

In short, our big names all turned up to play yesterday and we are definatly building. The win-loss-win-loss process worked for us at the start of 2001, lets hope its an omen that we are going to continue to improve as 2004 unfolds.

Yeah, for a total of 10minutes out of the entire time he was on the field!!!!
Vella is lazy, 2nd man in 95% of the time.
Although he did make some smashing tackles yesterday "some" doesnt cut it for me. I think he is only playing at around 70% at the moment......

I don't mind people bagging Vella about past performances, more often than not it has been warrented. But it is clear coaching staff have been working on his technique in both offence and defence as well as with his head. He was very focused yesterday, and left some players in the rabbits team with no doubts that he wont be remembered as a "powder puff" or what ever it was Geyer called him.
