The Bulls have tied him up to a five year deal which is great for them, from a personal point of view though i am disappointed as i think he is another British player who would gone really well in the NRL.

He has a lot going for him being athletic and skilful, much like a young Gareth Ellis imo.

Yeah, there was a rumour about 12 months ago that Souths were after him. Maybe it was just that.

As someone who watches the Bulls from a neutral pov every week I much prefer the prospects of Bateman and Addy. That said though, Whitehead will be a solid 2nd row forward for years to come and has a knack of scoring on a regular basis. He just lacks impact when taking the ball up and isn't the best defender.

Yeah, I don't think Whitehead is all that good. He's probably been a rare SL standard player in what has in general been a sub-par team over the past few years, and that has probably made him look a little better than he is.
