Ok how do we think the teams went? i know there are some of us who's teams didnt live up to our expectations (bloody raiders). this thread is to talk about how alll the teams did this year and to have a winge and explain what needs to happen with our teams to get them to the superbowl next year. also if anyone heres about big signings or interesting news in the off-season about any teams this is the place to post it.

Eagles: Sucked. Once again fell short due to a lack of even ONE quality WR.

Wanted: KJ's attitude to change & then become an Iggle.

ive noticed that eagles have lacked in that department. it just goes to show how much great WR's are needed just as much as great QB to make great passing plays.

Agree 100% on Eagles. I thought they were going all the way for sure, but McNabbs injury and the fact he had no quality recievers really cost them there. If they can get their hands on a reciever then they'll be great.

Oakland.....*sigh*....I was really pschyed for another good season, but, geez, age seemed to be catching up with the old-timers. Also, the signs for the future don't look that good for the silver and black.

Like I said in another post, I think the Falcons, who had a very dissapointing year, have a brilliant offence, top QB in Vick and Price is one of the best recievers around. Had Vick not gone down....Who knows?

Some of the other sides....Carolina, who would have thought? Almost like Kenya at the cricket WC   . Green Bay, especially the win against Oakland :x :x were really somthing.

In the end though, the Patriots were deserving winners.

its good to see the "minor premiers" (best record in the NFL season) win it. and its also good to see an AFC team win it! :D

Biggest problem with Dolphins this year was knowing how to win the close games. Miami had the opportunity to win another 5 games last season but didn't due to stupid mistakes. Mistakes like Mare missing two fairly easy fields goals against New England in the first meeting. Or missed blocks against blitzing defenders within scoring range as happened in the Colts and second New England game both led to lost fumbles and basically the ball game.

Biggest thing the Dolphins need next year is a quality offensive line. Throughout the playoffs Tom Brady could have had a cup of tea and cookies and still had plenty of time to casually pick a receiver to throw to.

Receivers other than Chris Chambers would come in handy. In last years draft the Dolphins could have picked Anquan Boldin but instead Dave Wandummy decided we desperately needed another Linebacker who sat out the season on injured reserve.

it think your right about the offensive line. the doplhins had an awsome defence but couldnt back it up with the offence. the QB, RB's and even the kicker were great its just they were rushed alot of the time due to the offensive line collapsing or breaking up. this wasnt the cause all the time but as you said brady had all the time in the world and could have had a cup of tea before he threw. this is because with a reliable offensive line you wont have the feeling of pressure you would if you didnt have faith in your offensive line from previous collapses. its a mental game as it is physicall and a much safer offensive line will result in less pressure and more success for the scorers.

That would actually be the defensive line you are referring to then, not the offensive line. The Dolphins have one of the best defensive linesman in the league in Jason Taylor, Oguneyle aint bad either, its just a matter of injuries, Taylor never seemed to be fully fit this year.

That is true, it was good however to see McMichael back up last year with another good receiving year this year though. If they got another receiver they would have a very dangerous receiving group with McMichael, Chambers and Williams.

No I was using the New England O-Line as an example of what can be done if they they play well. Dolphins need to upgrade the O-Line desperately.

Wow!!! I didn't know that!!! #-o

I have alot of respect for coach Wannstedt, but thats shocking! Maybe its a good thing his powers have been stripped somewhat for this season and he can concentrate on coaching!

At least that error has been rectified somewhat by picking up Boston for a song through FA.

Denver signed Champ Bailey and John Lynch for the defense but lost Clinton Portis to the Skins on the Bailey mega trade. We look good on D but a little weak on the O but we still have the draft coming up and with three picks in the first two rounds, a good running back and WR woudl be nice to replace Portis and McCaffrey.

Jury is still out for me.
