I think England need to hire more scouts to live in Australia and scout the NRL. With the retirement of Sinfield they are in desperate need of a decent half to partner Widdop. Thats where Trent Hodkinson wouldve been perfect and a key member of their squad moving forward. He was the man that changed NSWs fate ending Queenslands 8 year State of Origin streak. Another one im suprised they never picked up was Feleti Mateo, he has an English mother and holds a British passport. Sure his attitude can sometimes lead to inconsistency but talent has never been questioned. He probably wouldnt be a starter but couldve been an effective player coming off the bench. Even if he struggled to be in their top 17 I think he wouldve always been a member of English squads. Im sure their are others

as for feleti mateo.....he's a lazy t**t and and can't make his mind up whether he wants to play for NSW or tonga...he's even sounded out NZ....

we set up the "england knights",essentially our 2nd team, after steve macnamara spent time with the QLD SoO & ermerging maroons set ups

I think the problem is you see the best of England carving up mediocre ESL teams all year long, hopes are left sky high, and then they have to play against NRL hardened Aus and NZ teams. England play well for 65 minutes and then collapse.

half the england team play in the NRL,and that number is only goung to grow,and its their performances that we're building our hopes on.....

and when a mediocre pom like mike copper can "carve up" the NRL..its gonna give the players in ESL,who are miles better than cooper,a leg up when they realise that not all aussies are supermen..

Yeah hes playing in a team that gets ridiculed league wide for having hardly any props, and those they have are shitty. He wouldnt get even a bench spot in many other teams.
