Should be a good little mini-series once we get through the carnival shit. After this, we have Australia and India, so some uncharacteristically tough cricket at the end of the year.

Will also be good to see what our squad looks like now that we're on the other side of CWC and sub-continent series v Sri Lanka.

This is the squad from Sri Lanka's tour last year
I'd like to see Young get a go.

Probably worth asking whether it's time for us to move on from Waitling. If not, when? If so, who replaces him?

I wonder whether Ross Taylor will retire in 6 months too.

T20 is great for the middle of the week.

f**k off international T20s but. Franchise only. Tests and ODIs the only international formats

Why would we move in from Watling while he’s playing very well

Yep, fair question.

I tend to wonder when it's time to move blokes on when they get to their mid- 30's.

I could certainly live with Waitling for another season or two, unless there's someone younger who is playing as well or better.

If he starts to decline, but at the moment he's one of the first picked

Blundell is ok, and the younger brigade aren't close yet

Dropped? Or rested?
Seems like dropped - think Smith said a chance to "re-set"...

Interesting either way...

For us, I am hoping Neesham get's Colin's spot, but I can see why they persevere with him, but Jimmy is so much more consistent with the bat, a great catcher, but inconsistent with the ball...

Young needs to get some runs to pressure Raval, and while I don't see Southee getting dropped in NZ, Ferguson and Henry have a chance to get close to a spot, particularly when we get to Straya, where Ferguson's pace might offer more, assuming he can show it more consistently

Why aren't these two tests counting towards ICC Championship?

Something along the lines each test nation has to play 6 test series - 3 home and 3 away in a 2 year cycle. So I guess they decided that this series wasn't to be included cause they already have their 6 series outlined.

I posted a link early in the test championship thread that explains everything about the TC

Colin Munro has hit a T20 ton to guide the NZ XI home against an England XI. Chasing a target of 188, NZ did it comfortably with Munro scoring 107 off 57 balls.

What a stupid f**king concept. You can just exclude certain series at will?

How cricket is as popular as it is with complete morons at the helm is beyond me.
