November tours suck for me atm, right during exams, might have to not watch this one....

hope SBW goes up against hape, should be a good battle

England are talking up their defensive patterns and playing a 'traditional' game, so the one they always play, ie kick into touch and play territory, however i think they are trying to find a balance with their back 3, so they dont always kick more run it.

we'll see how that goes with these new laws,

I've only seen the highlights of the scoring movements, the English try was suspiciously dodgy for both a double movement, and one of the Poms being offside from the kick through. Another win for us.

Can any rugby-head explain the English try to me? It looked to me like classic union, i.e. no-one had the faintest idea wtf just happened

It was a clear double movement, even the english commentators were saying so FFS.

SBW played well but the NZ scrum was penalised to f**k. I have no idea if there is a different way of reffing the srums in the northern hemisphere or not but both NZ and the Wallabies were penalised at scrum time.

Shontayne Hape (ex NZ and the Warriors player) was playing for the English team. The blacks looked good in the first half but seemed disinterested in the second. The english commentators were crapping on about Teova doing a try saving tackle late in the game not using his arms and techincally being a penalty try. Wankers

The Wallabies scrum is crap and will always get the rough end of the stick because refs have a preconcieved notion to penalise them first. They will lose against England on the weekend. Flogged in the scrums.

As for the AB's...well Woodock is a serial offender for putting his hand on the ground. As soon as the ref looks at the other side of the scrum he puts his hand down. Looks like the refs know what he is up to.

Yeah England are going to murder Australia in the set pieces. Come back Matt Dunning and Al ' hard merkin ' Baxter, all is forgiven

Moore getting injured in the warm-up stuffed the Aussie scrum on the weekend. Makes a big difference.

Official Attd.

Attendance: 80,350
...

I thought NZ WERE lucky with the call for the First Try to Hosea gear.. That foot was out before he grounded the ball..

England should have been awarded for a Penalty try when Toeava used a RL tackle Shoulder charge...... The ref was sh*te.

There is no double movement in rugby

That is correct... in this instance 15(G) applies

Law 15 Tackle: Ball Carrier Brought to Ground
INTERNATIONAL RUGBY BOARD
(f) If a tackled player’s momentum carries the player into the in-goal, the player can score a try
or make a touch down.
(g) If a player is tackled near the goal line, that player may immediately reach out and ground
the ball on or over the goal line to score a try or make a touch down

However there was a clear offside when a chasing player was five metres in front of the kicker, leading up to that which should have been caught... so either way, Try shouldnt have been awarded.

My understanding is that the player is entitled to reach out if he does so immediately. That wasn't immediately. No try. Ashton was offside as well, and a player took out SBW.

The Gear try was dodgy and Hape may have been entitled to a penalty try. Both were 50/50 calls.

The refereeing of the scrums was diabolical.

Mealamu will be suspended. So too Hartley.

Good game. Well played England

"That wasn't immediately"

Then there should be a penalty awarded for not releasing.

Did anyone see the Welsh bloke who came through the ruck and then passed the ball off his back? Impressive.
