So

what was he sinbinned for exactly?

im guessing the altercation with hindmarsh. wants really clear. maybe he punched him or something.

one thing is for certain though. he's reached an elite group of all time sledgers.

Larry Bird was the all time trash talker in the NBA. the likes of Warnie, Steve Waugh were legendary sledgers in the Australian Cricket team.

Where would he rank amongst rugby league players? the best? who else is up there? Alfie was good. John Plath as well. Tricky Trindall too.

certainly knows how to annoy people thats for sure.

BTW. not bagging him at all. i love it.

I love it also.

People call him a grub. I don't think it is grubby at all. They are just jealous twats.

Fact of the matter is, Ennis sledging won the Bulldogs the game on the weekend.

I would say that he will go down as one of the best sledges in Rugby League.

I reckon him being sin-binned won us the match. Allowed Ben Barba attacking freedom without Ennis killing everything from dummy half, got us back to 14-all while he was off...

^ And then we scored 20 more points with him on the field, including a try assist and basically another try assist at the end when he put Stagg into the gap for Idris' last try. He's been excellent for us.

He's a great sledger and a better player.

I personally dont mind the sledge. Is there anything in the rules that prevents you from doing so? (actual question) In all honestly, Hindmarsh reacted, well played by Ennis....cept he ended up getting sent off. It was probably a precaution to make sure nothing escalated out of the situation.

I love having Ennis on my team. I hated him when he was a Dragon/Bronco, and hadn't really heard of him when he was a Knight.
I'd pick him for the Blues again too!

Thing is he's not terrible every game. IMO he was the best hooker in the comp last weekend, played out of his skin.

Having said that you can only play as well as the opposition allow and Souths game him and inch, and he took a mile. Last night Brisbane gave him nothing and he failed the task.

I think Ennis played ok. I mean he came up with a couple of big plays when we were under the pump - he must've successful completed about 2 or 3 rakes when Brisbane were pressing.

f**k, dog supporters have got their blinkers on with this gimp!
Got nothing. A liability.
8 to 10 other hookers I'd rank above him.

Ennis was decent last night. He gave away 3 penalties, but one wasn't even close to being a penalty, so that was tough on him.

And to the person who said he was directly responsible for Lockyer's try, he wasn't. He was called off side and told to stay out of it, which he did. It was the player on the inside (Millington I think it was) who was way too slow to come in and cover the gap.

Several occasions the halves kicking game gave the Bronc's ridiculously easy field position :x

Exactly. If he got involved in that potential try-scoring situation, he would've got 10 in the bin, Bulldogs down to 12 players, and then everyone would've given it to him.

A penalty is better than a try
Mate Ennis would've been gone for 10. Broncos could've put 2 or 3 more if that was the case. Even though we lost the game, our defense was great (baring their knock-on try). So we did take something from that game.
